The FA CUP Third Round ** Spoilers ** [4th - 7th January 2019]

Cant say I'm surprised, said since the weekend that I felt that Klopp would put all his eggs in the league basket and that we would lose tonight.

Fabinho and Hoever both played very well, Curtis and Camacho struggled, everyone else was poor to tragic. Sturridge is stealing a living.

This game has shown that Liverpool have a problem in strength in depth, their bench players are not on the same level.
Yep and it's exactly why we've played the team we did.

Losing Lovren could be a big blow if Matip and Gomez aren't fit for Brighton, will mean playing Fabinho at CB although he's looked very comfortable playing there tonight tbf. Imagine if that was VVD instead of Lovren though.

Can't argue Liverpool didn't get what they deserved by putting out their B team, that played like a Z team.

I mean...I know what you're saying but our first team are a level above so the drop off will always be big.

Also, and again, we played a winger at rb, a 16 year old at CB, a midfielder at CB and well Moreno and Mignolet.

Two losses in a row, they say winning is a habit so this loss must hurt and shows they're a couple of injuries away from the wheels falling off their title bid.

What's mad is how everyone's jumping on Liverpool's back. Wolves had 39 percent possession tonight but are talked about like they're Barcelona.

Can have 90% possession, no good if you don't do anything with it. Wolves are happy to sit off the ball and then strike on the counter. Hardly Burnley tactics.

It’s not just the defending, it’s mostly the plays, the speed of play, the passing is missing that snap, the players that stepped in tonight takes too many touches, makes different decisions than their regular starting 11. It doesn’t feel like watching the Liverpool that Klopp put out this season.

That Keita miss pass to Salah near the end was a prime example of that lack of quality.

Not arsed at the result but my god Moreno and Mignolet do my head in. The difference between Mignolet and Alisson is night and day - how many times did the ball roll into our box and you're just waiting for Mignolet to come and collect it only for the camera to pan to him, stood on his goal line? For all the praise Neves has got for his goal, had Mignolet remembered he had legs and took a step before trying to dive he could have saved it fairly easily. The biggest positive to come out of today is that, fitness permitting, we're not going to see Mignolet or Moreno play for Liverpool again.

On Hoever, he struggled physically at times but given his age that was always going to be the case and playing in a makeshift side it was only going to be 10x harder for him but you could see why people are so excited about him. He's going to get bigger, stronger and quicker, he's going to improve positionally and his decision making but there's things you can't teach or learn and that's his natural ability on the ball.

True because a quality player has never missplaced a pass ever. Liverpool's single biggest issue today wasn't the quality of the players but the balance of the side. Because of the injuries we have and players we cannot therefore risk today or players that needed a rest, we had no natural RB, CB (excluding a 16 year old) or holding midfielder. When you're going into a game vs a near full strength, decent PL side without a foundation to your side then you're always going to have issues.
