Hello all,

Just a quick heads up regarding this DVD. Me and a friend bought it yesterday for a good laugh, fully expecting it to be terrible. The reality is that it is barely watchable.

The 3D effect is almost non-existent and the colours are simply shocking. If you are thinking about purchasing it for a silly giggle, I assure you that it is a compete waste of time and money, and will probably give you a massive headache.

Avatar, this is not. Avoid like the plague!

thanks for the heads up bought the blu ray version yesterday but haven't unwrapped it yet will take it back to shops.

Why not watch it Jas? You might like it. I have not seen it so I cant comment but dont take anyones word for it saying its crap and taking it back for a refund etc..

Are you talking about the Red & Green glasses?
I am indeed. It really is bad - a miserable viewing experience.

The film might be enjoyable without the 3D, my comments are purely based on the means in which the entertainment was delivered. I was hoping for a 3D experience similar to that you used to see in theme parks with the action jumping fairly reasonably out of the screen. Obviously it was never going to be that good, but I was still disappointed and I couldn't recommend it to anybody.

This Amazon review shares thoughts:

As a fan of the trasy, disposable but often morbidly funny Final Destination films, I was looking forward to this. Unfortunately, I was hugely disappointed to discover that the 3D glasses provided do not work at all. Everything is washed out in blue and red, the 3D effect is severely diminished from what you saw in the cinema and it will give you a severe headache after only 10 minutes. My advice would be to avoid this DVD altogether as it is completely impossible to watch it in 3D and I am, in fact, surprised that Entertainment In Video are even allowed to advertise this as a 3D DVD as it simply doesn't work.

In fact, it was so bad, I had to leave a review on Amazon to warn people off!

Well the Red n' Green's unfortunately will suck. I tried them out with Journey to the Center of the Earth and just couldn't understand how it could suck so much (I only watched about 5 minutes).

Its a shame RealD or Dolby3D setups are going to cost the earth initially which pretty much restricts proper 3D to cinemas for at least the next two years.

Red/Green(Blue) glasses will always look crap, they always have.

Plus it is a cack film, in the cinema the car scenes were pretty cool though :)

Thought it wasn't too bad in the cinema, not great but it was never going to be a great movie based on the previous films :p

We are quite far away from cinema style 3D in the home unfortunately :(
