The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Don't think so

Just done a search on the Firestrike website for the number of results and there are 1731 scores. This includes multiple entries by individuals for example quite a few belong to AMDMatt. The figure also included 1, 2, 3, and 4 card entries so again the owners are getting counted more than once.

I picked out Firestrike standard as it is the most popular benchmark.

If we discount the multiple entries and configurations the actual number of owners on there is probably around 300.

Out of interest, how many 980Ti results?

i also doubt that any stock ended up in Asia. They will get a higher profit margin in Europe.

Honestly, who's going to upload a video of a non-whine Fury X? It's only when people have an issue with a product that you see videos of said issue.

The fix has been implemented (there have been several articles published about this) and the whine issue was limited to a small number of units.

When the new batches are tucked up into their anti-static bags and are shipped to all the retailers, then you'll see that the issue has been fixed. I'm sure reviewers will be retesting the new cards to confirm this.

Most people probably don't know what to listen for and are just panicking when they hear a different noise coming from their new card... "omg must be whine!! ...must whine on forums now!". :D

Ha ... No. It's horrendous. A new noise at a different pitch would have been fine. A mix of the pitch of jet intake noise and a low powered buzzsaw with very noticeable step up/downs is not acceptable.

Matt wouldn't admit too it if he did.

My cards don't have a whine, I'm sure Gibbo could confirm if I've sent any back to OcuK. :)

Yeah doubt it would go down well with the bosses, well my 4x turned up, and they are all whining like absolute ****, unbearable noise, well ****** off, i am too returning em for Ti's.

:D

That will never happen. I'm not sure my ears could take going back to hot and loud cards, I'm still struggling to get used to having a silent QuadFire setup running at 50-55C under heavy load. :p

I am a hybrid of both. A combination of years of scientific modifcation and gene splicing. You may know me as AMDJoe...but my real name is...

RUDDY!

:D

LMAO Seriously Joe?

Small batch my arse :p

I had two and they both had it, chewie I think tried 4.

could have very easy come from same batch... 500 say GPUs out of say total 2000 GPUs sent to suppliers is still a small batch of damaged goods..
Say ocuk got most there stock from the bad batch.

My numbers no way concrete just giving you an idea.

AMDJOE OR AMDMATT do you guys know when stock will be available for ocuk?

Yes ok 25% is a small figure LOL

I did not buy from OcUK as they had NO stock, however I get the impression from speaking to the retailer I purchased from, it was FAR from a small batch :p

Well thats only 6, from how many, as as i said, theres probably not even 50 worldwide yet, so even if all of them out whined, they'd be classed as a small batch, as the batch out so far since release is small. :p

Hoping my Sapphire is whine free then, if the whiners are no more, due next Wed, so if all goes to plan, i should have it by the end of next week, but we know it won't, and Wednesday will just come and go, then eventually a new date will be put up, or it'll go the way of the msi, and vanish completely, as with that passing its due date, they must now not be able to get em at all, as they've took em down

I don't want to be rude Joe but such comments from you makes me quite angry

I went through 4 different cards, bought from 4 different retailers, from 4 different brands and over a month period and thery WERE ALL SUFFERING FROM VERY ANNOYING PUMP NOISE. How much more efforts do I need to put in BUYING your products?

I have been on this topic sharing my experience and reporting my findings and I haven't seen neither you or Matt comment or respond to any of my posts.

I truly believed and liked the product but after terrible experience I've lost faith and I must say I am very disappointed about how AMD have handled the situation. As a loyal and respectful customer I do not feel any appreciation for my struggles, which for me are down to poor quality control on your end.

Seriously I can't believe what I'm reading here...talk about unhappy customer here.
