Anyone up for a referendum on England leaving the union? Not sure I fancy even more powers devolved to only one country. It should be equal either way for all four countries.

Thing is, following the initial Scottish devolution wasn't there a plan to devolve more power to the English regions, or cities? I recall a referendum in Newcastle I think it was, the result was that they didn't want devolution and another layer of politicians. So if Cameron's speech is to be believed, we could end up with the Scottish referendum forcing on England something that it doesn't want.

There has been reports and calls for Greater Manchester and other cities to get more powers over the past few weeks. Makes sense, considering GM is larger economically than Wales.

I don't think it's got anything to do with devolving power in uk like that.
It's the whole debate on the west Lothian question (English votes for English laws) and how Scotland/Wales is funded.
Do more removing Scottish/Wales maps from voting on powers that have been devolved, which makes sense and amazing it's taken this to actually bring it on the table properly.
