This is something that has confused me for a time. The people that moan that Scotland gets more than its fair share of money per person seem to not realise that Wales gets more than England per person (just under Scotland's per person amount) and NI gets even more than Scotland does per person yet no one ever seems to shout about them

Cos they don't whinge on a regular basis like the scots do?

Sad sad day for Scotland utterly gutted but 45% of us is a good number. Now to see if they follow up on that "vow" or if as I suspect it was all lies and we are about to be shafted bit time.

At that point I will just sit back and say you had your chance so deal with it.

Still the majority of votes in UK parliament come from England they will ultimately decide on the government and the government will ultimately listen to the majority of voters.

The UK needs to evolve into a more federal state as a London centric policy is creating a real mess down in the south east.

I'm incredibly pleased with the result. There was no doubt Scotland could have been a successful independent country if it had chosen, but I am confident that a better future is possible for everybody in the Union.

I'd like to see increased devolution of power.. maybe even so far as a more federated system, where things better controlled locally are controlled locally, and things better controlled (and standarised) nationally are controlled at the Union level. I'm hoping that Cameron will really "lead" on this issue, as not delivering for Scotland will certainly end the Union. My ideal is that we come out of this with a system that everybody can support - and England will need to 'compromise' the most to make that possible. We are the largest home nation and have the greatest ability to absorb changes.

We are at the start of a new era of growing prosperity for the UK. We should capitalise on that and further enhance our position as an outstanding 'global citizen'. I'd like to see us lead the way on further democratisation and integration within Europe and 'the West' as a whole.

I'm really happy with the result, was pretty concerned that yes might have just pipped it.

The problems with dividing the country and resources up would have been a nightmare.
