Posted by a friend on Facebook which I find interesting. The Scotts have come out of this really well despite the No vote.

He has a doctorate in Economics, formally a lecturer here in the UK now doing his second doctorate in the US.

Which is why I was pro-independence. It's better for everyone including England, Wales and NI. I don't understand why so many non-Scots people wanted them to stay? The only people who really win are the politicians in all four countries.

stabbings tonight in Glasgow. yes voters being targeted. still time to build that wall. my bags are packed and heading for the airport. sick of this **** hole called glasgow.

A lot of No voters must be kicking themselves after the No Campaigns don't agree on what powers should be ge granted. Especially since the emphasis is now mostly on England now.

We have English friends here. Some have said; If Scotland says yes I'll leave! Really? Leave the business and life you have adopted? Now we have said no...go away, you don't care about Scotland!

I'll just continue daily life until Westminster totally ****s over the northeast of England..Lowest pay in England, No investment, **** Westminster..

Why would they stay in the even of a yes vote?
When they set their business up they were doing so in one of richest countries in the world, if the yes had their way they would have a business in a soon to be bankrupt economic wasteland.

think it's safe to say the Scot's were lucky there.

Better together tbh

Yep, lucky to have Loyalists running around Glasgow attacking Yes supporters. By what logic can it even make sense, that to celebrate winning you should burn your nations flag, attack people and participate in brutal thuggery?

There is a video on Vine of two young girls being surrounded some of this group. A saltire is ripped from one girl's hands and thrown away. One of the attackers can also be overheard telling his erstwhile friend to steal the girl's phone. Disgusting antics.

You know very well that Glasgow, as the biggest city in Scotland, has more than its fair share of idiots. To hold up those idiots who happen to share an opposing view to your own is disingenuous at best.

you will have idiots making the most of any situation. This has nothing to do with the vote

are you telling me there are hundreds of people in Glasgow right now attacking the police and anyone else they encounter, waving union jack flags singing rule Britannia, has nothing to do with the vote?

Some people will find an excuse to make trouble regardless(probably the same people). If it had been a yes vote we'd (well maybe not some members) be discussing how the yes voters were burning UK flags, signing flowers of scotland(is that it?) and abusing anyone who was brave enough to show they voted no.

Noting your location, do you expect that if the vote had gone the other way the outcome would have been any different? Be honest now.

you could say that, but we will never know. you can only go on what we are witnessing.

as for people just out to make trouble. i don't see it. these people are no voters attacking yes voters.

When the same idiots are standing in front of a large 'No Thanks' banner giving Nazi salutes (yep, ironic) it is difficult to see them as anything other than No voting, Loyalist thugs, who are revelling in a public display of thuggery that Glasgow has not seen in quite some time.

It is not dishonest to show them for what they are.
