233. that is totally different. Thats football hooligans. everyone's got them.

i watched a video with 2 morons waving a union jack shouting and swearing at yes voters saying we won so why don't you **** off out of the country if you're not happy.

Some people will find an excuse to make trouble regardless(probably the same people). If it had been a yes vote we'd (well maybe not some members) be discussing how the yes voters were burning UK flags, signing flowers of scotland(is that it?) and abusing anyone who was brave enough to show they voted no.

Yeah this.

Dumb people do dumb things, regardless of any other factors.

Come on if you really believe it would have been any different the other way you're delluding yourself :(.

There's going to be scum in both parties.

Can I just ask because I'm pretty sure I know the answer. Are opstat and Eddie yes voters?

It would have been yes voters attacking the no voters if things had gone differently.

Yes voters had been camped out in George Square for several days without a sniff of trouble, chatting to undecided and no voters alike. I am not saying that there are not thugs on the Yes side but a planned and organised attack on a peaceful event? I very much doubt it.

When you look at the various organisations that supported a No vote, you can maybe understand how this could have occurred. Alongside Tory, Labour and Lib Dem, you had UKIP, EDL, SDL, Orange Order and the Brittanica Party. Nice chaps eh?

Why would they stay in the even of a yes vote?
When they set their business up they were doing so in one of richest countries in the world, if the yes had their way they would have a business in a soon to be bankrupt economic wasteland.

It was a lifestyle choice. Wasteland? Don't troll.

yes we can sit here and guess all night.

what i will say is the majority of people rioting in Glasgow are rangers football fans along with the orange order who have came out to rub it in the other sides face. and as always violence follows the orange order.

I take it you missed some of the feed earlier with the adorned union jacks that used to grace ibrox with their lovely slogans.

we have a huge number of one of the ugly sisters hooligans out tonight

I must admit if what I've heard of them is true im surprised they haven't been proscribed yet .

Edit: appears part of their organisation was proscribed:eek:.

Police have confirmed that an Orange Order march is confirmed for Glasgow tomorrow, most likely attended by those who marched in Edinburgh. If so, they would be staying overnight in Glasgow so obviously this is just a little bit of craic.

When the same idiots are standing in front of a large 'No Thanks' banner giving Nazi salutes (yep, ironic) it is difficult to see them as anything other than No voting, Loyalist thugs, who are revelling in a public display of thuggery that Glasgow has not seen in quite some time.

It is not dishonest to show them for what they are.

No, it's not. You're right - they are idiots and it's appalling to see them being so.

If the vote had gone the other way (and let's remember that Glasgow was very much in the minority in its decision) then you would have had equally appalling behavior, just from a different set of idiots.

I understand your view and your standpoint but don't be blinkered into thinking that we would not have seen the same headlines had we had a different outcome.

this is total theory here. but if there was a yes vote. i could honestly see(based on previous statements) that pro union and orange members would attack the yes side.

I say not, you say definitely. We will never know. What I tried to show you is that there are no groups of comparable thuggery attached to the Yes camp as there was attached to No. Individuals causing trouble maybe, but not the organised violence that was seen tonight.
