To be fair, that's not too bad what the OP wrote.

What really gets on my nerves is when someone calls their desktop background the "screensaver". I regard that as a much more basic mistake compared to watercooling misconception. Went on a training day only last week. Some girl there was jibbering on about having a photo taken of her with a celebrity and then put it on her screensaver.

The same people that point at a tower/base unit and say "yeah the hard drive" bit like saying your going to jump in your engine and drive down to the shops

No, it's stupid. I'm not expecting that the OP's GF would understand the intricacies of water cooling (I don't) but to think it would somehow have a water cooler, as in what you get in an office, attached is stupid.

Of course his gf was not looking for an actual water cooler!! She just used the words 'water cooler' because that's the only way she knew how to describe whatever device would be doing the water cooling.

OP posting an image of an actual water cooler is being sarcastic to augment the funniness of what his gf said.
