The Golf Club

I have 24h for £16, more than got my moneys worth and it isn't even full release yet.

With the amount of work the devs are putting in this could be a very good/big game.

Disapointing..i was keeping an eye on this as i haven't played a golf game in years but with the Ryder cup coming up i was planning to take the plunge.

Rubbish.

The game runs fine, I can see all the tiny little changes they have made.

It was never going to get a huge turnover, it is a golf game after all.

People will play it who like golf, but the won't play it as much as any AAA title.

The online tours are good but very hard, it isn't a pick up and play game, you can't boost your drive to 390+ yards like TW so many people will be put off.

I enjoy it.
 
I was really wanting to get this mainly for the course design but don't know if I can run it
My kit ticks all the boxes but as I am using Vista 32bit I only have 3.2 GB RAM, it states you need 4GB.
I wouldn't mind if it ran a bit slow, I was hoping for a demo so I could try.
It looks really good though
 
Finally got this to work on high settings, just installed Vista SP2 and the KB971512 this all updated my DX to 11
Really like the feel of it, pity there isn,t a tutorial but there must be stuff on youtube to watch
I will be loosing half my spare time to this I know

If you go to the HbStudios "The Golf Club" webiste they have tutorials on there bud.
 
Yes, I saw the mixed reviews as well. I've been following Perfect Golf, which was greenlit on Steam earlier in the year, with a first release expected soon.

We need a decent golf game. It's been too long.
 
The Golf Club is a very enjoyable game, with great realism. One of the best deals I've seen so far. I have sunk many hours into this game, as has my dad.

Read the many positive community comments on steam and look at how many hours people have been enjoying this game!

I like it a lot. Played in some of the comps run by HB Studios.

Sadly the game is filled with people cheating, using rulers to help get their shots going straight, and although it is frowned upon, nothing can be done because it is something that cannot be proved. The tourny admin were very fair and tried to investigate, indeed removing some people from the comps.

I was good at the game, could easily get between -10 and -25 on a 4 round course on hard but people were coming in with scores of -50 etc and it just became a bore.

The realism is very good, playing with friends in also very fun, just stay away from the tournys and comps.

Well worth the £10 or so. You can't give you golder mad spin or a 50% boost of the tee like TW golf games which was the main draw. Also has some amazingly good courses deisgned by the public!
