Well its coming to that time, I'm in my 4th year (honours year) studying Finance at Uni. Soon I need to make a decision what I want to do next. A graduate job or postgraduate study.

For the graduate job; I imagine many here would have taken one - can anyone give their experience, tips and comments about how you got on with the process? Anyone specifically went into a finance position?

However, there is always that postgraduate option. Would you recommend doing it at the same uni or another (or maybe even abroad)?

I went for the graduate job option. for me personally, as much as I enjoyed uni etc I didn't really want to keep prolonging it and I don't think it would have been very beneficial to do a postgrad course. As big_long_name (:p) says with a degree like Comp Sci it's only worthwhile for quite specific careers.
Am now working for a software company developing stock market trading systems and am pretty happy with where I am now (and being paid of course :D). It's not as extensive a graduate program as many, about a month of training while being introduced to actual work, which suits me I think. There's probably quite a fair variety in the range of grad jobs around
