Can someone with 2x 980 Tis do me a favour and run Dragon Age Inquisition and tell me what the performance is like? Specifically I'm having issues with camera panning being jittery even with the frame rate at a solid 60 FPS with Nvidia CP V-Sync on. Issue is definitely not present with a single card, where camera panning is buttery smooth. This is the only game so far I've had an issue with in SLI, though the raw performance boost is massive, taking me from 35 FPS with one card to 60 FPS with two.

And what's with the loading times... I last played this game on like patch 2 or 3 and the loading times were superb on my SSD. Now it takes forever to load areas.

EDIT: Never mind, settings were too high - was dropping to 58/59. Might just add a small overclock.

Hmm, I'm debating getting a 980 Ti (or two) and using my EK Thermosphere blocks on it.

Looking at the cards, the reference cards are obviously compatible (see 1st pic) but the G1 looks like it would be ok as well (see 2nd pic), even though EK's site doesn't list the Thermosphere as compatible.

Running a stable 1467Mhz, hovering around 68-70 degrees and 60% fan profile now.

Tried 1500Mhz but I need to up the fan speed otherwise I get some crashes

i just want cards that will save me for next 3 years of hardcore 4k gaming

going by the number of people who have been posting on here ditching their multi card AMD setup to go to nvidia, I would get 980ti over Fury

The Fury X is out in like 2 days, Even if it's neck and neck with the 980 Ti it costs less than it so it's worth waiting for the price alone

The power draw on those will be insane and from experience the thermal throttling is a bit of an issue too and let's not forget the dreaded crossifre nightmares

You'll easily need a 1500w PSU with damn good case airflow too.
