The GTX Titan X owners thread.

in FC4 on 1080P max settings, the Titan X doesn't even break a sweat ;)......so i've read

it's going to be very interesting to test it, to see if it gets hot/ makes a noise, because i bet on 1080p it only needs a 50% OC.

it's the single card that i wanted, but it's a bit of an overkill to be honest

No need to even OC at 1080p. When I don't want the fans buzzying to much at 4K, I play without an OC.

yea at least i'll have a monster in there that's only one GPU........rather than SLI.......give it to the end of 2016 and it'll be time for 4K TV

I liked the sound of your voice.

I didn't watch the whole video as FC4 is something I'd rather play than watch, and I've yet to purchase it.

That little flying contraption was rather neat. The enemy appears to need specs. :D

Good job. :)

I'm not that much of a fan of TXAA either, though I thought the image quality in your video still looked very nice.

same. although im not a fan of farcry, I also liked the sound of your voice. no homo. GJ

what you guys think about the BenQ BL3201PT is it big enough for 4K?
do you guys use AA in 4K (have to turn it off in some games)
ive got it and like it but just wondering if its making the most out of 4K and my Titan X soon to be SLI when the stock is in lol

and how long untill OLED is affordable 2016?

i could get a 40'' 4k tv and game at close range, use it as a monitor screen only, i'll give it some thought

how affordable an OLED tv is next year depends on its size !!!!! because it'll cost a fortune over 65''

the OLED picture quality is so sharp and accurate that you dont need 4K, because it'll Look as good at 1080p as any another tv does at 4K..... it also has a massive increase in contrast ratio and colours, which makes it look far more 3D.

none of this was important 2 weeks ago, but getting the Titan X means i can game at 4K with only an additional 800 quid required

but i need to find out if a 4K tv does lower resolutions as well like a monitor, or just only 1080p

For visual stutter you'd want to be looking at a chart where you can see the frame times throughout the test.

What you're looking for is a low variation in frame times, where 0 variation would be perfectly (impossibly) smooth gameplay.

The next chart in that review shows the slowest 1% of frames, which is only 29.6ms. So you're looking at a potential variance of roughly 30ms running TW:R2 @ 4k, which seems pretty good to me.

Thanks a lot for that. I was curious as to the performance. I'm looking at eventually sticking another Titan X in my PC as some point, so nice to see some positive SLI performance.

I use a 28inch Asus 4K monitor but I game at a desk, the monitor is max 2-3 feet away. Using AA depends on the game to be honest.

I'm not looking into OLED personally (have no idea how prices will be). I'm looking into something GSync based 120-144hz.

Thanks every one for your help finally got a new personal best on heaven.

That dirt nvflash worked a treat, thanks again and no more throttle due to the power limit staying at a steady 1499

this is very interesting, but the LG has very bad input lag compared to other tvs , this needs a new thread in the tv section

just visited 2 showrooms.... not that impressed, all the 4K tvs were running normal 1080p feeds.....as was the LG OLED, every tv i saw was badly adjusted

they said wait till the new stock arrives in june, but my guess is it's best to wait till june 2016..... two generations from now, just to be safe

none of the tvs look better than my Panny plasma, only the same, the best 4k tvs are the Philips and Sony, forget the monitor, just replace the tv in a years time

I use my 58" 4k TV to play games (It's low input lag) but it would be useless as a monitor.

yes, the best of the 4Ks look pretty good but no better than mine.....good prices too

the only reason i'm mentioning all of this is, i was wondering with Titan X if it's worth going to 4K tv....... IT DEFINITELY IS, but only as a future replacement for my Panasonic plasma

Anyone actually played Shadows of Mordor, as opposed to running the benchmark?

I tried it at 2160p, Ultra everything + downloaded Ultra textures enabled.

On one card it was averaging 30 fps (with dips down to 25!)

I tried it with SLI and to be honest the average framerate was in the 50's which isn't bad, but the minimums when I was fighting still went below 30!

This is the problem with the benchmark, it doesn't give you an idea of in-game performance. Particularly when you are battling 10 orcs at once.

Bit disappointed by the Titan X in this regard.
