The just for fun 400hp challenge

Your challenge for the day if you choose to accept, is to spec up a 400hp motor! 300hp is easy with a hot American V8, mad Cossie or a Jap rocket with some goodies but 400hp is a little harder to come by. What can we come up with...

Blowers, turbos, rice burning etc are all valid but lets stay off the laughing gas and bonus points for n/a motors, reliability and the more detail the better :D

That's no fun when most factory modern hi-po V8s, Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, etc, are all over 400BHP, if not 500.

Now, 800, there's a more interesting challenge!
 
I've posted this on two forums, here and on a hotrodding forum. Two replies on there so far, 16 on here. Interesting to see the difference. So far on here it's been which box shall I tick on the dealer's catalogue, over there it's been, well, nothing :D

Although by 'motor' I did mean engine not car, but it's been interpreted that way.
 
Hmm not sure what the kind of V8 lump, but a shelby gt500 with a twin screw supercharger kit from kenne bell should give you around 800 :D .
