Next up, GPU waterblock install, EK Quantum Vector3 GPU, specifcally for the Asus TUF 5080:
Lots in this box, block itself, with backplate on and box of bits including heat pads, tools and screws/bolts/nuts and paste
Then it's just a case of systematically removing the small screws to release the air cooler and backplate. The heat fins are huge.
Not a fan of doing this, but managed to "ease" it off.
And then the backplate itself, the card is actually pretty tiny!
Clean enough, the original TIM had set like cement.
The waterblock needs the backplate removed and some transportation spaces taken off (orange things just at the top).
Then it's time to put the thermal pads on, thankfully they're mostly precut to size so not that fiddly.
Then just a case of dropping the card on top making sure it all aligns with the screw holes, couple of screws to hold it in place and then drop the backplate, with it's original screws and backplate and screw it all together.
Done!
