5 speed manual transmission with High/Low range
Over 1500km range for vehicles fitted with 180L tanks (Cab Chassis and Troop Carrier)
Extended 8-model line-up

Everything LandCruiser ever was, only better

These LandCruisers can power through the heaviest workloads both on and off-road without breaking a sweat. An all new 4-door wagon has been added to the range, so there are cabin layouts with seating for 2, 3, 5 or 11 depending on the body type and grade across the LC 70 Series Range. They come with no-fuss vinyl seats and mats, or you can move up the pecking order for alloy wheels, fabric trim, carpet and all the trimmings. What comes standard is that legendary go anywhere capability that has taken LandCruiser from the Snowy Mountains hydro scheme to the far reaches of the Australian outback and everything in between.

And there Slogan:

Newer. Not Softer.

Now thats how a LandCruiser should be made

Looks like a cross between a Series 3 Landrover and an early Mitsi Shogun.

Seems to have potential to be a good motor though.

i think we get this one

theres the landcruiser (swanky chelsea tractor)

and the the Landcruiser Amazon (proper off roader)

the amazon still looks like the old land cruiser, so im guessing this is the update for this model ?

Likes like it was design in the late 80's/early 90's :/

Suppose it's good at what it's built to do though.

180L tanks?! WTF!

Never been in the Australian Outback where most these will be used? ;)

Much prefer the looks of the current one, but in all honesty if you need a Landcruiser looks are your last consideration.

No excuse for not bothering with how it looks though :p

The reason it looks like it does is because they used the Samish Design they used on the Origanal 70 series.
Basicly keeping it in the Family.

The did it with the 40 series over in the US aswell

Fairy enough but they've taken a step backwards if anything. The current one looks a lot better and modern imo. Even the one before that iirc - although my knowledge on these is limited... :o

The current ones seemed to have been bought by a lot of retires that tour around Australia and Dont go off road much and it looks a bit plasticy imo

Down here you will see a lot of old shape Land Crusiers bashing through the bush and mud tracks
The 70 series is a legend of a Landcruiser and i hope this new version of it will be just as strong

i used to work for an old guy that live in oz for a long old time. used to tell me stories about his beloved landcruiser and the adventures they'd been on and the sheer logic/physics defying feats it could pull off.

in the outback or whatever you wanna call it, there is no scope for half measures if you want to be sure youll live to get to your destination

amazing cars

I like it - looks far more like the original hardcore Landcruiser than the naff Chelsea tractor it turned into.

However Landrovers > Landcruisers still.

My point though. Why can't it do both? The Range Rover manages it :)
