Dying Light The Beast - 7.5/10

I quite enjoyed this game despite its flaws. The graphics are gorgeous with RT turned on and it's pretty much just how I remembered the first Dying Light being in terms of the gameplay. Sometimes the enemies could be infuriating and I just can't be bothered trying to sneak around at night so I just ignored that part of the game, lol.

Star Wars Outlaws

It was decent enough. A good star wars vibe, enough options and tools to keep the stealth gameplay loop going but it did get pretty repetitive and was overloaded with semingly unnecessary minor quests.

Fun enough, but I was definitely ready to check out after 15-20 hours or so. Thankfully I could wrap the game up not much past that point.

Kind of a decent enough 7/10 for being fun whlst it lasted

Prince Of Persia - The Lost Crown 8/10

Decent metroidvania with good pacing and combat mechanics. Story is OK. It s a shame that some of the unlocks are a bit late in the game though.

Seance of Blake Manor: 6.5/10

I enjoyed this overall for the story, but the loop was very repetitive, break into someones room, find documents, confront them about stuff. Didn't have to think too hard as the game tells you what you're missing. Had a good atmosphere and I enjoyed the background as to why all the stuff was going on. I wasn't expecting Blue Prince again (same devs I think) but it all just felt a bit lackluster at the end.

Last of Us Part 1 - Man that is a great game... Still got the expansion (Left Behind) to play now but the main game really was brilliant.

Doom The Dark Ages.

Solid 8/10. Not as good as Eternal or 2016 but still enjoyed it a lot. The story and cutscenes were great as well.

Agreed definitely a step down from Eternal but still a great ride. The flying sections really bring it down imo.

Cairn 5/10. I don’t know how I got through it, perhaps stubbornness to get past the 30m playtime I had.
I wouldn’t normally play something I find boring but a friend at work encouraged me so we could discuss it. It was not the profound experience I expected, though I should have been wary due to the Eurogamer fawning, that’s generally a red flag.

Just finished Last of us Part 2, I don't think it's as good as the first and seems to drag on a bit, and the second main character you play (not spoiling) is not as likeable, ended up in more fire fights than I would have liked. Overall great game and worth a play after the first part. 7/10

Star Wars Outlaws 8/10
Not sure if I've ever played other ubisoft open world games (far cry, assassins creed etc) so no risk of it feeling just like a star wars skin on another game, enjoyed it, easy to pick up and play for a bit, fairly mindless fun :)

I don't play many game with an ending, and when I do, I never stick them out even half-way in most cases.

But the exception was Half-Life Alyx which I thoroughly enjoyed on the HTC Vive, there was that one bit though that was actually a bit scary too play in VR!

10/10

Just wish Valve would bring out a sequel (prequel, whatever).

I've just started on the Half Life 2 VR Mod.

It's not as polished as Alyx, obviously, but still very enjoyable.

I've just recently finished 'High on Life 2' on Game Pass (finished high on life 1 the week before) and as I started to play it I was unsure if I liked it or not.

The first game had Justin Roiland doing voice work which gave it a bit of a Rick & Morty vibe and although the gameplay was generally the same throughout it did hold up.

The second game loses Roiland but does have updated graphics and later in the game takes a few interesting risks.
It took me a while to get into the second game and some of the game time felt a bit like hard work but the interesting story, abstract/strange and sometimes innovative rabbit holes it sends you make the game later on quite compelling.

Overall 7/10

Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader.

9/10.

185 hours to finish it and I absolutely loved it. Great storyline, interesting quests and characters, and very satisfying combat, especially the boss fights.
Some of the quests were a bit bugged, but nothing that caused any issues, and the cut scenes were a bit poor given the limitations of the in game graphics been used for them. But they are 2 very small distractions for an excellent game.
