The last game you completed, and rating.

Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader.

9/10.

185 hours to finish it and I absolutely loved it. Great storyline, interesting quests and characters, and very satisfying combat, especially the boss fights.
Some of the quests were a bit bugged, but nothing that caused any issues, and the cut scenes were a bit poor given the limitations of the in game graphics been used for them. But they are 2 very small distractions for an excellent game.
Keep holding off playing this dispite buying all the DLC for it. Have you seen the trailer for the last DLC yesterday?
I'm gonna wait for it's release and play it then, finally.

I was waiting but I decided to play it. Currently 50 hours in and confidently saying it's the most fun I've had in years. It's one of those games where you sit down at 6pm play for 10 minutes and somehow it's midnight :p
Mechanics take a little bit of time to understand what works with what but well worth the time investment. Maybe it's the nostalgia of playing 40k in the 90's. Never thought I'd be thinking about replaying a game of this size straight after I finish before completing my first run. Not helping my back log at all!

I’ve not got the season 2 pass as I didn’t know it was there, so not done that yet but done all the others, will probably buy it and carry on playing it!

Space Marine 2: 8/10

Left this by the wayside after completing the campaign in 2024 and dabbling in Operations which at the time seemed too hard. Ran through campaign again on Angel of Death mode then got stuck into Operations and Stratagems. A lot of content has been added since release and the progression curve is a lot better. Skill ceiling is extremely high, it's an art form to juggle all the parrying and dodging without getting downed. Got 100% achievements and that took some of the steam out of the online play. I'd like to keep playing but even with a wider set of activities to play in end game it doesn't quite have the pull of ARPG end games.

Hades 2 - played on and off since it was first available. 8/10 Very good game but seems to be missing something compared to part 1 and I found it easier than part 1.

Mafia Definitive Edition - 7/10
Haven't played any of the mafia games, and had assumed it was more of an open world game than it actually was but enjoyed it and will probably aim to pickup the 2nd cheaply at some point

Crashlands 2 - 8/10
Just as fun as Crashlands but now with less repetitive crafting and a better / funnier story.

Telltale game of thrones, not bad with a interesting story, working through some of their games on my legion go s, this wasn't as much fun as the wolf among us but enjoyable and glad I played it, but unlikely to play again 6/10

A fantastic game! I played it near release, and I'm currently replaying it to see the Dlc content.

High on Life 2 - 7.5/10

I enjoyed the 10 or so hours it took to complete. Missions were varied, a pretty light hearted story with a decent villain. Humour is still there, but perhaps not quite on point as the first one. Still, an enjoyable experience.

Sniper Elite Resistance. Felt very much like a cut and paste of map assets from SE5 with a Jason Statham voiceover, so that’s a 9/10 from me! :D

Seriously, I really enjoyed SE5, so the idea of more of the same made purchasing it a very easy decision.

Expedition 33.

9.5 / 10

I doubt there is much I can say that hasn't been said. But as a 43 year old gamer, I haven't felt this way about a game since FF7 back in 1997. Outstanding. It's tight, respects your time, is eerie yet beautiful, the story is outstanding, I loved the combat and the characters are amazing.

It has depth and kept me wanting more every session I had with it. And the soundtrack - *chefskiss*. The second fight with a certain boss genuinely had me putting down my controller and just listening to the soundtrack in awe. This generation's "One Winged Angel".

I liked it so much I have already started playing a NG+ - I never do that.

GTA4 - 8/10

Played it on PC with the Fusion Fix mod. Had it on PS3 when it first came out but didn't really play it, saw it was a fiver or so in a recent Steam sale and fancied it, having not played a single player GTA since those few hours on the PS3 back in 2008!

Really enjoyed the gameplay, cut scenes and missions. Finished the main story and did a number of side missions before finishing with it. Will play through the Episodes at some point.

Resident Evil Village - 8.5/10

Never been a RE fan and horror games rarely work on me but I really enjoyed this. Likely helped that it is fairly combat focused with decent variety. Some of the horror sections like House Beneviento and the Castle were really well done and felt like some sort of love letter to P.T.

Very much looking forward to giving Resident Evil: Requiem a go now, seems to get even better reviews than Village.
