*** The Mobile World Congress 2014 Thread ***

Didnt know about this. Thanks for the thread - il keep an eye out and see if there's anything that catches my eye :-)

Looking forward to see what the 1820 is, if it does indeed have some sort of lytro camera.

Wp8 needs some high end phones.

Does WP even support Snapdragon 805 processor, I know they got s800 and are getting s200, s400 and s400 lte with 8.1. Not seen any mention of s805 support.

supposedly wp8.1, the 805 has been delayed until may anyway and wp8.1 should be out around then, meaning 1820 could be the wp8.1 flagship release device. Hopefully we will find some stuff out tomorrow.

Ms has also just signed another 7 manufactures to join Nokia, Samsung & htc, including Lenovo, who have been good in the laptop market, be interesting to see what they bring to the table.

The Lumia 1520 seems a very nice phone, I think a more sensibly sized one would do well. Still not convinced by the WP8 app store though, but I could just about get away with it... maybe.

Yeah its lacking compared to the others, all depends what you use. Its fine for me. Hopefully now the market share is getting decent and wp8.1 bringing the os in line with features from android/iOS then this year will see a decent rise in app store.

The Icon looks great hardware wise, really nice 1080p oled display, good size and camera great SoC. But the design is not great, and it is hefty device.

L720 but with icon hardware would be the best WP hands down for me.

Nokia has an event at 7:30 tomorrow, might get lost if Samsung bring us something similar to the S4 launch, and Sony is releasing stuff too. Going to be a busy day.

Ive read pretty much their going to be no Nokia shows at it, just the Normandy Nokia, that's about it.
Some app stuff for WP but that's about it.

HTC and Samsung don't matter, they had a chance and blew it.

Lenovo after buying Moto would be very interesting to see what they want to do with it.

that would be disappointing, although I can see it. The 805 won't be available till May and it would be a bit odd to launch flagship now when wp8.1 is just a few months away. Can we at least get icon or something similar in Europe.

SanDisk had to clear some engineering hurdles to cram all that capacity in the microSD form factor. This card was developed using a proprietary technique that allows SanDisk to stack 16 ultra-thin memory dies on top of each other. The end result is a tiny card that can accommodate 16 hours of 1080p video. That's a 1,000x increase in capacity in only 10 years.

YEAAAAH!

Now, just need to wait for release...

Anything that supports exFAT will support it so any modern Samsung phone to start with,

The worded "up to" limits shown are because nothing beyond those cards existed at time of manufacture. Previous Samsung phones stated up to 32GB cards were supported yet they all work with 64GB, nothing should change for 128 and beyond.
