The nervous wait to exchange....

Bah, just been told my seller is unable to move until end of the year due to his new build not being ready, oh well, stamp duty to pay in full now and need to move in with mother for a few months, was expecting to be told it had fallen through though so it could have been worse :)

Why should you take the financial hit and why are they unable to move into rented?

For those with a current account and a new mortgage with Nationwide, how long did it take for the mortgage to show up in the Nationwide app? I want to make an overpayment already however I don't have any mortgage details so far.

It showed up for us before the solicitors or agents rang on completion day!

Part of my offer was that I was in no hurry to move so the seller could have less pressure, while I'd have liked to get in before the Sept deadline it was only ever a want so I'll suck it up, he'll be taking a hit as well as he'll have to pay it on his new place, I'm not going to quibble over a few £k and risk him pulling the sale on me, I was fully aware it might happen so no onus on him whatsoever.

Was within a day or two of moving in when we were FTB. I think you can make an overpayment manually if you find out the account number and address any payments to yourself.

Sounds like they've not linked the mortgage to you and your existing OLB yet.

I suspect it's not showing because the mortgage is a joint one and I only have a sole current account. I'll wait for the documents they send to turn up, they said it would be a week or so after completion.

I have a sole Nationwide CA (and CC) and the joint mortgage appeared on my OLB before it was paid off. My wife has 0 NW products other than having the mortgage and she got sent separate OLB login details and when she logged in she could only see the mortgage.

Weird, my mrs hasn't had anything asking her to sign up other than the automated text messages/emails when they send application dates through. I'll give them a call at some point.

I never got anything to sign up to NW actually, I was going to investigate that later. My girlfriend was the one with the current account and our joint credit card. But yeah, the mortgage appeared very quickly.
