I was going to send out for my GiffGaff SIM just now, but spotted the Payback system. Does someone want to send me a SIM as a 'Friend' and get a nice pre-xmas pressy of 500 points?

I'm looking for a good sim deal for my son now, Is GiffGaff any good? never heard of them till now. The £10 deal looks good for him but the site is down for maintenance so don't know how this works.

Is it possible to get him something that doesn't tie to my Bank i.e. if he goes over his allowance he simply can't make any more calls etc.

My local orange shop didnt have any OLE ones, the TFT screen looks so gash in comparison.

Does the gift box come in a separate delivery to the phone? I'm not at the delivery address, but I've been told a gift wrapped box from Orange has arrived.

It all comes in 1 box with the gift box and the phone box in the inside.

the MoDaCo MCR Froyo ROM would be the best. My ROM is based on an old beta ROM which needs updating.

On CPW website they are advertising the SF as having AMOLED as one of it's features? Do they still have old stock or is it a red herring?

Probably just a case of them not updating the phone's details on their site

I would be surprised if they still have the OLED ones since its been in and out of stock almost daily on their website over the last 10 days, as on the orange website.

Gotta say im well happy with the deal. Bought one of these for my Mother's Christmas present last week when it was reduced to £84 + £10 top up, came gift wrapped in a nice orange and black box with a bow on it ...most companys would charge extra for gift wrapping not knock £15 off, and it saves me having to wrap it up now

Thanks for this post. Mine has been delivered home and I was told yesterday 'a gift wrapped box has been delivered' so I was unsurer if it was just the gift box or the phone as well

What Cases are people using for this? I know there are no 'official' ones yet, but what are people using?

I was reading a thread over on Android Modaco, and they are saying about three different ones, mainly the E71 and E72 cases...Also what screen protector?

I put on a 'LCD SCREEN PROTECTOR FOR SAMSUNG I900' from ebay as someone recommended them over at Modaco. They came in a 6 pack and the fit is really good.

For cases there's a few mentioned with pics on previous page or two. I'm happy with mine, although looking at the flip case I'm tempted to get that one as well

Hi, as Delvis stated.

It was using the £30 off loyalty discount. I am with Orange (have been for 10+) years but recently came to the end of my contract, so I moved over to PAYG for a while. Anyway, you need to be a PAYG user for 3 months before they will give you the discount. I hadn't quite got to 3 months and even though I had been with them on the same number for all those years they wouldn't budge as the system said I had to wait another 3 weeks to complete three months.

So, to cut a long story short, I rang back and gave them my mother's number who is on PAYG. They spoke to her, billed my card and it should arrive tomorrow.
