The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

I just got left an answer phone message on my Giffgaff number and in the "Notifications" on my San Francisco it's saying "New voicemail. Dial +447973100123". When I call that number it's Orange's own voicemail number.
I have no idea how that's happened since I have a Giffgaff SIM card in my phone and I thought all of the Orange settings had been wiped... Any idea how I get rid of the Orange voicemail notification and how to stop it from happening in the future?

er, drivers are isntalled, but its asking for a driver for 'Android' now :p

And if i try and run the fast boot thing it just says 'waiting for device'

OLED version

As far as my newbie phone eyes can tell me it's a OLED (05 build no. black is black in dark surroundings and not grey etc). Took a while to track one down though with all of the staff in every shop not knowing that there was a change in screen types. Very happy with it. If anyone in the North East wants to know where there is a couple left, just yell.

For cases I bought a HTC Desire S520, someone from the Modaco forums recommended it, very nice fit and secure, can post some pics if anyone's interested.

Think I'll give the customising a go tomorrow. It is Root > Clockwork Recovery > ROM in that order isn't it?


EDIT: Argh! Choice overload on memory cards. SanDisk 8GB Micro SDHC for £8.99 sound good?

OK Kazz Please tell where can I get an OLED version in the North East. I will first need to try and get a credit note for the TFT version I have already bought in Newcastle. Orange seem to be a bit hard nosed, without any returns policy I'm aware of, so I don't know how much luck I'll have.

Yeah I just re-applied the backup, then did the image, then cleared the cache...first time i left it for almost ten mins

The Modaco image just flashed ever minute

I'll try again :)

EDIT:

Would it be worth doing factory wipe? Or would that wipe the card etc as well
 
I did a factory wipe then installed the image and then cleared the cache. It took about 2 mins to load the first time.

Nothing was deleted from the SD card doing the above but I would make a backup on your PC just incase...

You do need to do a wipe before as well, then image, then clear cache

Excellent glad your sorted. Remember to re boot a few times and all should be good..
 
Slightly O/T but have you all seen how much the OLED versions of these phones are going for at auction? Ridiculous prices being paid, pretty stunned to see some of the completed listings tbh.
