Genuinely interested.. What would you use candied chillis on?

e: I take it candied is as I think.. i.e. very sweet in a suger type scenario?

Pretty much anything! They're fantastic on chilli con carne. Putting them under the grill to melt cheese and caramelise them makes it sensational. Also good with hot dogs, burgers, BBQ, cheese and crackers. Using the syrup to fry bacon in is extremely delicious but extremely dangerous!

How big a mortgage did you need? Can't imagine you get much change from a tenner for one of those these days?

Normally £6.30 but as Rob mentioned, £4.50 (if you have a clubcard).

- I still think the pistachio ones are the best. To be honest they’re all excellent apart from the fruit or mint ones!

I've not tried the pistachio, I'll get around to it though! I had a dark chocolate with mint the other day and that was nice. The strawberry in white chocolate is amazing.

Candied chillies - mix of Aji Limon and Jalapeño. All home grown! Not eating them all at once, but thought this would be appreciated here!

Forgot to post earlier today, snacked on some Sourdough with plenty of Asdapak.

Excuse the plateless approach, dishwasher was mid cycle and did not want to stare at a plate on the kitchen side all evening as I’ve forgotten how to wash plates the old fashioned way :D

I hope you were still in the middle of adding more butter to the top slice.

:cry:Nearly killed myself from burning chilli's and cider vinegar while checking a network switch up high in the kitchen :cry::cry:

They look nothing like what you've produced, but a small spoonful gave a lot of heat and flavour.

Ooh! What chillies did you use? I once got everything too hot and made a sort of chilli caramel which was also excellent in a thick gloopy sort of way. Should have given a health warning for the fumes though!
