Just had my lunch: Corned beef and brown sauce (HP) sandwich and a packet of Walkers cheese and onions crisps and a can of full fat coke.

Food of kings.
 
Benny - did you ever work out how accurate the kcal burn on TR was?

I think it is a bit generous but not as much a Strava, if you look at the Strava burn vs the TR upload (depending on the length of the ride) it can be 10/20% more.

At the moment I take roughly 75/80% of what TR says and eat those calories back and am maintaining/very slightly gaining based on my planned caloric surplus.

I try and keep my midweek turbo time & burn consistent when I can just so there's one less variable.

Can't give a clear cut answer due to cycling carbs unfortunately but 80% and adjust as necessary would be my recommendation. It's still a greater burn rate than on the road, that's for sure.

(70 minutes gives an indicated 1,100 burn and I'll take around 7-800 from that)
 
That sounds about right with regards to virtual power readings and so on. A little bit less than I'd expect but as you say it's more of an educated guess :)
 
hmm, been a bit naughty today even by my standards :o
popped over to belgium to get some bakkie thismorning.. had a bacon roll + hash brown from muckdonalds ~ 5:30am at clacket lane services, then a hotdog with bacon ~ 7:30am whilst waiting to board the train, then a double whopper with cheese ~12:30pm whilst waiting for the train home :o
saw loads of "illeagles" breaking into the backs of lorrys.. sod being a driver :/
