***The OcUK Bikers meet 2006. 12th of August***

I have to be friggin' mad to do a journey like this, so ..... put me down as a possibility as long as the weather's okay :D

Lordy dordy what have I just done  :D

Bear in mind if the weather turns out to be pants, we'd have to establish another weekend - no point in going for a blast if the weather's miserable really. By the time the meet comes up to happening I'm sure we will have swapped numbers by then anyway :)

We've got a nice turn out so far I think :) It'd be nice to have a few more :)

There are still a few who expressed an interest in the other thread who are yet to comment :) So hopefully they will confirm interenst soon.

As for changing the weekend around to work around weather, I dont think thats going to be possible for me, or i highly doubt it. i am booking the week before the meet and the weekend itself off anyway in order to make sure 100% I dont get told to work the 28th :)

I am planning on taking a morning out and taking a ride out to this location, get a few pics and possible speak to the landlord to check he/she is fine with us meeting. Failing that I would have to ask if burbleflop will kindly take some pics for us to look at in order to try and get familiar with the meet point :)

According to google I'm 379 miles (about 7 hours 56 mins) away from you

Quick edit: I forgot to add me bicycle :o Today, I will mostly be riding a Benelli Tornado Tre ;)

I may come, but this depends on what i'll be riding at the time, nothing i ride at the moment even has a merel chance of keeping up with a sports 600.

I'm not sure yet, trouble is from Essex on a GSXR 600 SRAd its gonna take a long time and be very uncomfortable :S

I have one of those in the garage (99 model) and the seats are like big comfy sofas :D Just pop your legs down off the pegs every couple of miles and you'll be fine ;)

Essex to Northants is like 100 miles ...Ya big pansy ...I suppose you dont ride unless its 30 oc outside and perfect conditions? :p

Well I'll come if someone else from around essex will lead the way (prods mohinder, DO YOUR TEST:P). But is the majority of the meet just sitting in a pub, or is it mostly going for a ride + drive?

I may attend, depends if I can get the day off work. I will try and post back when I know. If I do attend I'll be riding a Honda CB350SG (not going to have much chance of keeping up with most of you on a 34bhp, 170kg bike but should be fun trying.)

As long as we all stick together then no-one feels outta place ;) At the end of the day it really doesn't matter what you ride, it's all about a group of people who are into bikes enjoying a ride around together. That's the beauty of owning a bike, you instantly become a member of the 'nodding' club :D

I've ridden to the south of france - you just need to take a few breaks now and then ;)

This is just going to be a fun ride together, you can show off if you want, but if you feel you can't keep up, it's up to the faster people to slow down. Don't try and push yourself beyond your limits. The advanced guys (I don't include myself here) can race off, and can shoot back if they want - but surely it's more fun to ride as a group and scare little children? :p

No i ride a bike that can barely sustain 60mph let alone hit 70 for any period of time. And the other two are both classics. It's 60miles and then a little bit more, not the furthest but i hate riding with others with no chance of keeping up.

First page updated :)

Well this is what I like to see, a bit more interest from lots of folk. Those moaning about a 100 mile ride then you aint no biker in my books ;) In the summer a 100 mile ride will be what I want to do (there and back) to say i have had a good day on the road :D
