Crappy american TV :|
First Prison Breaks finished till next year, so no moe prison break for 2 months or whatever

then they go and shut down american office
now wtf will i watch :|

"Our show was shut down and we were all laid off this week. I've been watching the news since the WGA strike was announced and I have yet to see any coverage dedicated to the effect that this strike will have on the below the line employees.

"I respect the WGA's position. They probably do deserve a larger percentage of profit participation, but a lengthy strike will affect more than just the writers and studios. On my show we had 14 writers. There were also 2 cameramen, 2 camera assistants, 4 hair stylists, 4 makeup artists, 7 wardrobe people, 4 grips, 4 electricians, 2 craft service, 4 props people, 6 construction, 1 medic, 3 art department, 5 set dressers, 3 sound men, 3 stand-ins, 2 set PAs, 4 assistant directors, 1 DGA trainee, 1 unit manager, 6 production office personnel, 3 casting people, 4 writers assistants, 1 script supervisor, 2 editors, 2 editors assistants, 3 post production personnel, 1 facilities manager, 8 drivers, 2 location managers, 3 accountants, 4 caterers and a producer who's not a writer. All 102 of us are now out of work.

this is getting out of hand, lots of show will suffer and the seasons will spill over, i wonder if Lost will be delayed? Feb 08 is when it's due to start right?

Pretty much anything shown on Dave except that Alan Partridge crap.

Gilly doesn't like modern comedy

It's ironic how you've named a load of [now] formulaic pseudo quiz comedy panel shows as being the funniest things on TV, but lambast some of the most original sitcoms in recent times. I'm not saying the shows you've mentioned aren't funny, but I find they've lost a lot of their appeal after the many many series they've been through and the repeats that are shown.

lol US is better than British one, believe me Ive seen both and I laugh so much with american, plus the women are hotter british one had a reception who looked like she had down syndrome or somehting

I must admit I prefer the US one as well even though I think Ricky Gervais is probably the funniest British comedian around at the moment.

QI, Top gear, Buzzcocks, HIGNFY, 8 out of 10 cats, Mock the Week, The Peter Serafinowicz Show, Oz and James...

What? The only good thing on British TV is Top Gear, the last best thing was Extras.

I'd rather watch Lost, The Office, Hereos, The Sopranos etc. than the 100th repeat of Mock the Week.

Anyway, with regards to the topic I hope The Office starts up again soon as it's one of my favourite TV shows.

After the US Office stopped trying to copy the UK series, and found their own feet and style and characters it was a lot stronger. IMO, not as good as the UK one (the US one is lacking some rawness/realness... and especially the emotion from the two christmas specials) but still a solid very funny comedy show nonetheless. Plus Patrice O'Neal (very funny US comedian) works in the warehouse on their version.

isnt US version co-prod by ricky and steve? but if you ask me Dwight can take the show as himself, hes so damn funny :D

Agree.

Were only talking about delayed shows aren't we though? Once the strike is sorted everything will be ok again. Having to watch most of the new seasons on DVD and waiting a year or more in many cases I can't believe a wait of even say 3 months is that bad. Saying that I do have plenty to watch in the mean time but I'm sure that goes for a lot of people!
