The Official 2010 Ryder Cup Thread **Spoilers**

'Good' golfers aren't often ranked 8th in the world like Luke Donald is! :)

I'd say he's slightly better than good.

By the way, that $18m would be just from the PGA Tour. Throw in another 7 million Euros from the European Tour as well.

But he's only recently reached that ranking after hiring Dave Alred. He used to be outside the top 30 and admitted himself that he didn't really push himself. (see link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/robhodgetts/2010/10/jonny_wilkinson_guru_turns_don.html)

Obviously now he is a very good golfer, not that he was bad before - anyone in the top 100 is going to be extremely good at golf relative to everyone else.

No, i actually agree.

He's always been a quality and consistent player but doesn't win as often as he should. Still, he's becoming a bit of a Ryder Cup legend. I may be wrong but I think that's 10 points from a possible 11 he's won now.

He's a really likeable guy as well. Ironically, since his brother stopped caddying for him (caddies for Paul Casey now), he's actually improved further.

Yeah, he's always been good - maybe just lacking that killer instinct or real drive to be the best.

Seems like he's turned a bit of a corner now though and is fulfilling his potential which is great news.
