*** The official 2025 MacBook Air 13" and 15" thread (it has the M4 chip and everything!) ***

899 via education site for the base 13” is a pretty solid choice. The 16gb RAM is good. One day we can hope for 512gb base storage.

M3 15" MBA Refurb purchased for £930! I could have purchased the M4 but haven't the patience to wait until next week and I don't need that extra power tbh.

Seems better value than what I paid for my M2 MBA. Equivalent (actually slightly better) spec is cheaper. Even an extra 8GB RAM is cheaper than I paid.

Interesting they say it's only twice as fast as the M1 MBAs. Seems progress is slowing a bit on the silicon front. There's no real need to change from my M2 as it meets my needs, which are pretty much just web browsing and the odd Office document.

Edit - I can't tell the difference between the sky blue colour and the silver or grey from the photos. Will have to check it out in the shops.

Waiting for it to appear on Amazon, ive got a £100 voucher I need to use. I can claim back about 700 from work as my wfh machine also :D

Didn't expect the new color either!

This might finally be the one I upgrade to from my mid-2014 MBP. Seems well priced, decent enough base spec. Not sure about the new colour or not. I’m a fan of the classic silver.

The £1,599 15" MBA is a tempting alternative to the base 16" MBP at £2,499.

Same RAM, same storage, a more portable form factor while still keeping a decent screen size and £900 cheaper.

Ok, the chip has fewer CPU and GPU cores, but I have a Mac Studio for my day-to-day activity, I don't need a laptop as a desktop replacement.

Assuming the MBA can run Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator without grinding to a halt, it's a very tempting upgrade to my 2015 15" MBP.

Hmmmm, the base model MBA is $7999 in HK. Equates to £800.

The only difference is ANIS instead of ISO and the £ sign?

Going there next month

Yea. Fanless is such a massive win. No moving parts, no dust ingress and silence.
Just got my M3 Refurb MBA that I ordered yesterday. Oh god you're so right.

Honestly, my cheapo Dell Inspiron that I've been running with Linux Mint was an absolute balls warmer compared to this thing. I am still setting it up and it hasn't even got warm yet!

Torn between a refurb 15" M3, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD for £929 or the new M4 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD for £1199?
Use the savings on a flamin external enclosure :p I did :o

Not sure if Apple were trolling me but when my M3 Midnight Black refurb arrived yesterday, the magsafe braided cable and its connector was black but the USB-C plug on it was white!
