I'll tip my cap when driving past the local masts too![]()
UniFi 5G max in the loft,
There's nothing in the UI that I can see. There are a bunch of CLI options which look like they may help, but I don't know if they would be overwritten on the next provisioning cycle.Since you now own one of these, can you see what sort of cell locking, or band locking is available on it, if anything please? If you are in an area with more than one mast it'll be pretty annoying without at least one of them as an option.
Will have to see if someone else in the wild could confirm then, would be great to integrate with the rest of the Unifi kit I have but a pointless expense if it keeps connecting to the inferior mast and bands on offer. There's nothing in the UI that I can see. There are a bunch of CLI options which look like they may help, but I don't know if they would be overwritten on the next provisioning cycle.

What's the best mast location site now? As I have been using cellmapper.net to get a good orientation, sadly, I think I need to put the UniFi 5G Outdoors, as the signal is still hit-and-miss in the loft, or that could be 02 or Three, which I am currently trailing

Evening all, is there any temporary option for 5g broadband as I’ve moved house and have to wait 30+ days for BT to pull the FTTP , EE have given me a temp hotspot device but it’s going to be painful with the family to live with this! Well my ears will be painful with the moaning![]()
I still find Cellmapper best tbhWhat's the best mast location site now? As I have been using cellmapper.net to get a good orientation, sadly, I think I need to put the UniFi 5G Outdoors, as the signal is still hit-and-miss in the loft, or that could be 02 or Three, which I am currently trailing

OK, that's good to know. You will lose more signal through the antenna cables than you gain by getting an antenna up unless you're going with something highly directional. Use an outdoor modem that supports eSIM.
