****The Official ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 Thread****

Have any owners had problems with random shut downs?

A friend has just picked up his TF300 andis suffering a similar plight that TF101 owners had.

My TF101 hasn't had a problem since the last update, very surprised and disappointed to hear of similar issues on the TF300.

No problems here at all with rebooting. Your friend should take the TF300 back for a replacement.

Well, sold my TF101 on Thursday. Picked my TF300 up today.

It's all that I hoped it would be and more. The things I've lost is the extra USB port and I think the balance of the machine when docked is better on the TF101.

Apart from that they've refined a few things, the ergonomics are much better particularly when using just as a tablet.

BUT the main thing is the power. Everything is so fluid.

I must be seeing things differently to everyone else (except you guys) because I cant see how other similarly priced tablets are worth considering except the ipad. Next to other 32gb tablets it makes them all look choppy and laggy and that's before you even consider the game breaking keyboard dock.

Being annoyed that the tab 2 10.1 i am typing this on has no current way of outputting hdmi, in frustrationi ordered a .tf300 yesterday. Tried cancelling but too late.

Was originally looking in £200 region, but almost every tablet had an annoyance of some sort. Even .tf300 can't charge over usb.

Just not sure now if should keep. Will cheaper tab just be false economy in long run?

Return ASAP to remove temptation OR open, realise how good it is and sell your Tab to cover some of cost.

Easy as 1 2 3 :)

Well, only had the samsung tab 2 days, so would be dsr on that.

But the Asus almost twice what I was looking to spend. But at least it has mucho battery life, and would have had to spend at least £50 on adapters for Samsung anyway (if they worked).

I opened the box - was my spare printer cartridges! :(

No e-tailers have these in black? They all seem to be blue

Yeah, is bit strange that. Blue only goes with my bathroom...

Red or black would have been much nicer.

I just noticed I am speaking as if I am keeping it.

What the hell, the pros certainly make it worthwhile over the likes of the other tabs was considering after Samsung managed to annoy me.:

toshiba at300 - £90 more for much more battery life, more storage, and dockable keyboard, better connectivity

acer iconia a510 - £50 more for slightly better battery life, dockable keyboard, lighter (without keyboard), better connectivity, and not Acer.

Scratch that... I won't even be opening it when it arrives.

Was doing a little reading when I stumbled across the fact that the transformer tabs won't output Google play rented content over HDMI. And this seems to be an issue plaguing them since the tf101, so I am not sure I would be confident it would go away.

What the hell is wrong with all these tech companies? Getting a tablet is turning out to be a really annoying experience.

I'd like to upgrade from my TF101 but I only paid about £260 (no dock) and the fact the TF301 only comes with dock makes it a bit rich for me, which is a shame.

(And I vowed never to buy another Asus product after the whole ICS fiasco)

Just downloaded Jellybean (official system update utility) , that was quicker than I expected.

Hesitating to install it though....I like flash!!!!

Even though I've got a pretty good workaround on my Nexus 7 I'd rather it was simpler.
