Right now portal mode seems to be the thing that most people are enjoying as it's a nostalgia trip, especially where 1942 is concerned. They'd probably be well served to get more content out for that to keep people's interest.

Which I guess is no big surprise, I think most of us knew that Portal was going to be the most popular gamemode. I'd LOVE to see more BF1942, BC2 and BF3 maps added.

The UI is appalling, didn’t think it could get any worse than BF1, BF5 but it is. It really needs a complete redesign from scratch.

The UI I dont mind too much but the menu system, that is truly awful..its like information overload , its "LOOK HERE ! NO ! Look over here at me !! No no...look here ! Look at this option !!" Every part of the screen vying for your attention. Thing is, its not even just BF2042, I've noticed more and more games lately which have these over the top, info overload main menu screens.

Windows 10/11 Issues

- [Supreme Command:Forged Alliance/Supreme Commander 2]: Performance drop when there is mouse movement. [3405920]
- [Deathloop][HDR]: TDR/corruption occurs in the game with Windows HDR enabled. If this issue occurs, toggle the Windows HDR setting.
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed may crash on courses where players drive through water. [3338967]
- [HDR][G-Sync]: Mouse pointer gets stuck after turning on HDR from the Windows Control Panel or after toggling G-Sync from the NVIDIA control panel. [200762998] To work around, click the mouse (right or left button). The mouse cursor will be sluggish for a few seconds before returning to normal operation.
- [NVIDIA Advanced Optimus][NVIDIA Control Panel]: After setting the display multiplexer type to “dGPU”, the setting is not preserved across a reboot or resume from S4. [200779758]
- YouTube: The YouTube web site randomly displays extreme contrast/gamma while idle or during video playback. [3420164]
- [NVIDIA Image Scaling][Desktop]: The screen moves to the upper left corner on cold boot when Image Scaling is applied to the desktop. [3424721] Do not apply NVIDIA Image Scaling to the desktop. Random thoughts for me - no particular order.

Performance seems ok to me (3700x/3070FE)
Looks nice
Movement and guns feel nice.

however -

  • Loads of bugs, glitching through walls etc. Horrible revive animations and very buggy
  • Massively frustrating with no voip, Hovercrafts are so OP, as is most vehicles
  • Sometimes you get a good game, get some kills, next game you get shredded every 10 seconds by planes/tanks etc
  • aa lockons are random and broken
  • pp29 meta is massive at the moment
  • too much dead ground between points at times
  • Weapon rank up levels seem massive amounts of XP if your not getting 20/30 kills a round.
  • 45 tick servers for 128 players - really?
  • hit reg is all over the place at times - one round, great, next just awful
Portal has the potential to be good if they would allow community mods/servers etc but never going to happen.

It's a no for me currently, £50/£70 etc - no chance currently I'm paying that.

NVIDIA Image Scaling Available Now

As part of our new Game Ready Driver, we’re today releasing an updated NVIDIA Image Scaling feature, available via GeForce Experience and the NVIDIA Control Panel. And to enable developers to incorporate the new technique into their games, we’re releasing NVIDIA Image Scaling as a free, platform-agnostic open source SDK.

For the past two years, NVIDIA has offered a driver-based spatial upscaler called NVIDIA Image Scaling and Sharpening, for all your games, that didn’t require game or SDK integrations to work.
With the new November GeForce Game Ready Driver, we have improved the scaling and sharpening algorithm to now use a 6-tap filter with 4 directional scaling and adaptive sharpening filters to boost performance. And we have also added an in-game sharpness slider, accessible via GeForce Experience, so you can do real-time customizations to sharpness.

Using a helicopter earlier and noticed another old bug has found it's way into the game, you can see players on the ground running but theyre basically in freeze frame mode sliding along the ground with no animation. Presumably a performance optimisation but you'd think it would only affect players out of your line of sight.

On another server earlier in a heli and the lag was so bad it basically made every pilot on both teams crash, it was like massive waves of lag that hit in all of a sudden forcing anything flying into the ground.
