i guess not yet.

Fifa want billions for the deal to be renewed else they will go to 2k sports.

NO i think they will lose the teams and kits etc.

ELse why woulkd 2k sports be all over this for just slapping on the name "fifa" in there cover box?

its more then that especially when fifa are asking for billions more. and it aint just to use the name fifa

No they dont lose the teams and kits etc, the licence is just the licence to use the FIFA name

EA Is About to Lose Its Exclusive FIFA License: Here's What It Means for the Stock | The Motley Fool

With the FIFA license only covering the naming rights for the video game franchise, EA likely thought $250 million a year was a bit egregious for FIFA to ask for, and that is why it is walking away from this relationship. It still owns the majority of soccer licenses around the world, with over 300 licenses giving access to 700 teams, 100 stadiums, and 30 leagues for its games, so it is not like the game will be losing the rights to top stars like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

It will be DICE who suffer, EA will continue, they will just break up DICE and DICE will cease to exist. Luckily for EA they make a ton of money from Apex Legends ( $1 billion as of summer this year from selling stuff on Apex Legends) and an even bigger ton of money from their sports titles.

Well they have their upper management to blame if that's the case, they should have pushed back against stupid deadlines instead of kowtowing to them knowing it would produce crap.

Some of DICE could get work as actors, I mean they did manage to promote a glorified free to play game with the least content in 10 years as the next gen of battlefield and managed to keep a straight face in videos on the subject. Untapped talent!

Way of the world sadly, I expect most people do what their bosses say rather than push back. Few people are willing to stand up to their bosses and disagree with them.

It's getting destroyed on Steam, only 22% positive reviews atm

Dropped from 38% to 22% in just under 2 hours. Wouldnt be surprised if the steam reviews have it in single digits by 6pm today. Has any game in gaming history ever had less than 10% on Steam ratings?

The game is a proper cluster ****. Never played so much rubbish in my life. PP29 noobs everywhere. I went 15 kills to 30 deaths in one game. Constant spawn and die. I would say I am an above average player. BFV I had constant 2:1 KD over 500 hours. Game has gotten boring real quick.

Yeah an EUIV DLC had 9% but it's since increased slightly. Apparently Steam had to create the new "low" percentage because it didn't exist :D

It's also tons of fun to have the game being a running simulation as the vehicles vanish quick at the start of the round. 20 odd weapons and now there's only about 2 or 3 that's viable to use thanks to the "intensive playtesting" somehow not managing to notice most of the weapons are spraying all over the show.

Played about 15 hours over the last week, it's not great, it's not terrible. It's horridly stripped down from what I expect of a BF game (circa BC2/BF3 era) and the vehicle spam is just utterly frustrating. I'll play on and off as eplay runs out during the next month but have no great desire to get on it intensively, it's just not fun as it stands at the moment.

On the flipside, the portal mode has been fun playing older maps like Valparaiso.

Thats pretty much where I am, I've played better BF games, I've played worse BF games, at the moment I'm having fun with it. For as long as I have fun with it, I'll play it (irrespective of all the people on Steam saying Do Not Buy - I'll spend my own money how I want thanks) , once it ceases to be fun, I'll move onto another title. No big deal. Its just a computer game at the end of the day, not a religion. It doesnt need me to worship it or deride it.

Oh wow, what a **** show. I get a healthy 34-41fps maxed out :D I know my GTX 1070 FTW is getting on a bit but the graphics are pretty much on par with BFV and that'll get ~80fps in most cases.

I got it on CD-Keys so annoyingly can't refund, ho hum!

My biggest issues with BF 2042 right now, not counting tech bugs, is the map design, the specialists(especially the wallhack chick), and the bullet bloom/hit reg. Then there is the end of round epeen show with the totally cringe one liners which needs to be removed asap or at least be skippable. Why cant i just continue to the next map after a match is done? why do I have to go back to the main menu and queue up again?!? ffs its annoying,

So how did it end up? Was it a different version on official release that they claimed?

It doesn’t help that Anti-Tank mines are a late unlock which gives ground vehicles free run across the map. And you can’t run AT mines and Repair tool or M5 and AT mines. Or Stinger and AT Mines.

There’s also no lock on Weapons for ground vehicles either. Not sure if they’ll introduce something in a later update but I’m not even sure the M5 will track targets painted by the Soflam.

Anti vehicle type grenade locks on, the fly-suit girl has them, they definitely can blow stuff up but not if fresh health.

My main issues right now are:
- Not being able to create a new squad once in game, you appear to only move squad and you can't physically select which one, it just cycles through them.
- Foot steps, lawd above. I can hear foot steps whilst flying a helicopter but the directional sounds are weird....they're better after yesterday's patch bit still naff.
-- Everyone is wearing sandals or clogs
- Maps, I like some, but things like hour glass there's almost four fight zones that a mass expense in the middle ...
- Not enough vehicle to spawn in, or at least jump in at the start....I appreciate having too many in one go might be mental but some maps you have to run an age to get somewhere a jeep hasn't got to first
- Still finding some guns either utterly pointless or hit reg is just naff

All in all I like it, but there's a few things that need work for sure. Stability wise I've not had crashes since the first few days after release so I'm good with that.

The wingsuit character is also a farce, you can literally jump off a small hill (and by small I mean like 5 feet off the ground) and fly the length of most maps, it's meant to be a gliding function but the way It behaves in game is like you're in control of something with an engine. Not to mention being able to fire at enemies on the way with a bazooka etc.

Don't mind the bazooka thing but i agree with the that you shouldn't be able to glide off too small of an object
