Wasn't even the vehicles overall, it was the standard routine of one team having the better players stacked to one side. Not like its hard to get 20 kills in a tank on Rotterdam. Happens time and time again in bf games and has done for years, one team seems to get all the players that have a clue what they're doing, and the other gets the headless chickens.

Yeah agreed, balance is abysmal in BF.

Seeing some drama on their forums now, apparently the specialist Maria who was able to revive people by firing darts into a downed ally can now only heal by firing darts, which is rubbing some folk the wrong way.

I like healing from a distance, am not going to revive you if you get sniped in the open. So dart into ass is all good here.

Besides the maps are massive, atleast the one I played in alpha. I doubt many people will go medic, most people will just camp and snipe.

Breakthrough with remote revive would be even more impossible than it is now, as would the general balance. Glad they have dialled it back as it seemed pretty over the top.

Sentry guns really ... what players out there actually want this. Why can't it just be player Vs player and not rely on utter gimmicky garbage.

The trouble with Battlefield is back in the beginning they were innovators of the genre and did their own thing, now they seem content just to imitate.

Was looking forward to the game, not so much now with bs like that above.

I'll pick it up on the cheap from the MM or somewhere because I'm not going to pay full price for something that might irritate the crap out of me.

I'm not a fan of the healing gun either. I like the semi realism from BF I don't want gimmicks. A healing gun seems like a very LAZY idea.

There's a few things "iffy" about the game so far, even the look of the soldiers is a bit strange.

The osprey only appears to have helicopter mode, presumably fixed wing mode is an unlock ( ). If not it's basically a model swap for the blackhawk. Fixed wing mode would give it much more speed which would be handy for a transport craft.

Tanks seem stupidly fast.

Grappling hook looks really gimmicky and it'll likely be abused and eventually nerfed.

Specialists seem to have really polarising opinions from the community with some for them and some against.

The aforementioned healing gun.

Sentry gun is almost guaranteed to get buffed and nerfed on a patch by patch basis, it's one of those weapons that just invites drama due to it taking "no skill" to use, see stinger missile in past games for reference.

Of course this is from not having played it yet, willing to give it a chance with the demo but not holding my breath. It really looks very COD modern warfare inspired.

Will there be anymore open testing from now until release? i missed the last open testing :(

Demo sometime this month, or "OPEN BETA" as they call it.

I thought this was quite an interesting vid.

Shows how little graphics have moved on in this game in the last decade to be honest. DICE have done their usual thing of tweaking the colour palette and the textures have been upgraded in places. But when Battlefield Bad Company 2 still looks decent and comparable after 11 years something is up.

The graphics don't look right to me, something is off, BFV looks light years ahead

They look a bit plastic?

Maybe full game better.

There's a possibility that due to the increased player count they could only give the visuals a slight touch up and not much more. We are talking 2x the players on some maps so presumably they had to make some compromises in regards to upping polycount on the models.

BFV had it's own issues with visibility and the characters being hard to see, different lighting method in play maybe to make them stand out more vs the backgrounds? Visibility was always an issue in bfv with players blending into the background in some areas.

Inresting , hopefully il be able to try this one, from what I've seen of game play so far it's all looking a bit meh, the grapel hook or whatever it's called that you can zoom up on top of buildings will be horrible, will lead to just rooftop campers everywhere, also don't like that slide movement either, will feel like bloody cod lol.

It will help rooftop campers get to high places but it will also help players easily get up to counteract rooftop campers. We'll just have to see it goes come beta/release

I like sentry guns - though not so much in a BF franchise. I've got this game for free but doubt I will bother - the franchise went downhill steeply since BF4 and even BF4 there was a lot of sloppy work that never got fixed.

Frostbite engine also has a lot of inherent bugs that seem to go along for the ride with every iteration of the engine, there's a story on kitguru about the next mass effect potentially using unreal engine due to frostbite not being "flexible".
