***The Official Blackberry Playbook Thread***

Selling my Playbook was the best move I ever made, tablet-wise. Awesome build quality, but horrible, horrible software. I honestly wouldn't buy another one even for £50.

Android is literally 10x better than this overall in terms of overall functionality, and that is an objective opinion based on 6 months of use. Much better to spend a little extra and buy a Nexus 7.

I still have mine as I don't *need* another tablet and don't use it that often, but, I find it horrible to use. It's nice and speedy one minute and then hangs up the next, sometimes types well sometimes doesn't. I could handle all that but hugely expensive apps are the icing on the cake for me. :(

It's all a matter of perspective I suppose. I really like mine, I find the OS slick and fast. The quality of the screen and speakers is also high so media is a pleasure to watch. I find the browser excellent too. Mail app is good, can connect to my work exchange server which is something none of my android devices can do without a great deal of faff.

So basically to me it's browser/mailer/media. Not bothered about the app situation because I have an iPad, TF300 and Nexus 7 as well.

In order of purchase of the current crop:

Playbook to replace old iPad (for wife mainly after I'd grown tired of it).
iPad for wife when she didn't like Playbook.
TF300 for me, to replace the TF101 that I liked so much.
Nexus 7......well just because I couldn't resist it really.

Kept Playbook because it was so useful on trips with kids and would only have fetched £100 at the time. (a fair bit less now with 64gb models for £130!!!)

In fact, on holiday the Playbook and Nexus were ideal for long journeys.

I just like to try as many different options as I can. I like to know whether iOS, Android, QNX, Linux, Windows or OSX is best for me.

Since I took this photo, I've sold the GS2, TF101 and Macbook and bought an iPhone, Acer V5 (11.6"), Nexus 7 and TF300. I'll usually try to go for second hand to minimise the loss when selling on but if it's good value or I'm bored enough (like now, hence the big post) I'll often just buy new.

I snapped one up the other day after asking the Mrs very nicely if I could, seeing as it's my birthday next month, was surprised she said yes, on the condition I show her how to use it too.

First impressions are good, quality wow ! Love the way it feels. It's certainly snappy enough for what I want, bit of web browsing in bed with the Mrs when she's looking for a few new receipes etc. Doesn't appear to have the clicking audio thats reported in this thread.

Will come in handy as I seem to be doing a lot of travelling at the moment, and it's a god send taking that rather than my i3 laptop.

Not overly bothered about the price I got it for, happy to use it for what I need it for, I really don't need a huge amount of apps or games, does what it says on the tine and I'd sooner have what I've got over one of those cheap Sumvision jobs of another certain retailer.

Biggest downside so far is no apps for lovefilm or netflix.

I've been pleasantly surprised by how good this is, even if I am using it at the moment as a glorified TV screen for iPlayer in the bath.

You'll be looking for the members market then! (for sale section on here). You are not allowed to sell outside of it.

I think with the price so close to the samsung galaxy 7 2.0 after cash back, it might not be worth getting one at present (Talking about new here, not second hand).

I'm still tempted by one however (as crazy as that seems).
