£1300, more like £1407, oh but wait, this is a special offer from £1600!

Im no way buying it at this price, £1200 fine, but that is stupid money.
Dont know what your looking at but its:

Price: £1,095.95 (£1,287.74 Including VAT at 17.5%)

on my screen...

Thats no way silly money comparing the extra resolution this provides over standard HD LCD TVs - the 32" Dell LCD TV with 1366x768 is £1175, this is only a £100 more and only loses 2" but gains a lot for practical PC usage in higher resolutions...

Soz, thats becuase i wasnt looking at the OCUK store, found out its there now so thats sweet.

Oops

Yes OcUK is a lot cheaper. :)

However don't hang around as stock is available but will sell out quick and DELL don't have a lot to go round as these are the first shipments. :(

I'd love a screen that big, and the Dell looks like a great piece of kit (I'm a definite fan of Dell TFTs). Unfortunately, I couldn't deal with the high resolution. I always drive TFTs at below native resolution due to my eyesight, and as the Dell has no scaler, I wouldn't be able to use it. :(

NPs, just send me a 3000WFP as recompense ;)

Ill be checking out the reviews before I even consider this - way too little known about the monitor and its panel (presume its the same as the Apple one at worst) to lay that kinda money on it...

Yeah im going to be looking at reviews and seeing what other people take on these before i take the plunge, £1280 is a very reasonable price though for a screen like that.

£1300. i really want this monitor to go with my 2405, but cant justify that much since its not far off what my projector cost.

will go for one when its nearer a grand tho :D

Id love to wait till it comes down in price, but knowing my luck it will go up :(

Pricing will go up as DELL are discounting product for its launch to build sales up and once sales stabilising pricing will increase £200 - £300.

in that case, i may have to wait for nearer the end of its life cycle like the current 2405 (on sale some places @ 2 for £700 i think). the 2405 and my 106" screen (projector) will tide me over till then :D

gibbo would say its worth taking the dive now? or waiting out for say another 6months to see how the price plays out? just wondering what your thoughts would be, and great to see the OcUK stocking them sooo early, im really tempted, unless you guys are gonna knock off say another £50 on a this week only offer. Hint Hint. £1250 would be a lot easier on me, due to current circumstances. Also i would it be possible to drive this monitor on my current 6600GT? i think it is due to DVI-I doing both thing? Not for gaming use im waiting for the G80

the 7800 GT will work (read on a diff forum, as well as nvidias own site). i have that card and plan to get this monitor at some point

dont know if it can power two of these (unlikely) but can handle 1 afaik
