Welcome to Destiny mate! A general consensus is that putting marks into your favourite vendors shell/ghost is a great start as shells rarely fall. Wouldn't bother with buying vendor gear as it's only 350 and you're not far off that if you grind a few strikes out. Heroic strikes will give rare blue engrams up to 365 from killing the boss at the end so a good place to start your engram farming there. Always decrypt an engram and see if it's higher than the piece you had on before and equip that if it is. Do that for each engram. Don't bother infusing the rares into any favourite pieces as you'll likely soon get a replacement piece of higher light level and you'll burn through your legendary marks pretty quick.

Got the auto-rifle, shotgun, MG, a Nemesis star and the gloves, and to light 376.

As it happens I've got a free few hours this evening as well, wouldn't mind running through it again on an alt...bit earlier though?

I'll just stick down same team and the two guys that were already interested in another run

I might struggle tonight as I am completing the exotic quest (with Greboth / Soulja*) and then helping TX/JPM out with his quest. I am flexible though so if he wants to run the raid again then I am down for that. :)

Also auto rifle AND Nemesis Star..... Why you do dis game, why?!

*Soulja / Greboth - what sort of time shall we group up to get this completed? We only have to do the last "math" bit so I will get the calculator ready. :)

When agreeing to do the final part tonight I completely forgot I have plans. It should only take a few minutes to do it though so I'll just be anti-social to my guests and come do it :D I'd estimate I should be on around 6:30 - 7 ish.
 
Ok scratch tonight, I've got other stuff I should be doing anyway :)

I'll be down for a normal mode run next week. Don't think 376 is going to be good enough for HM.

Wouldn't be able to make 7 or 7:30 tonight as I'd still be in the gym. Can only get on around 8:30pm during the week but on all weekend normally.

Great run last night though chaps. Nice bit of banter and nice to play with some fellow forum members. Need a second run for a chance to get that mystical helmet that always escapes my ownership on every raid thats been! :D:D

Cheers folks, exactly what I needed to hear. Just finishing up quests and clearing up the maps. Start Rise of Iron later.

some of the vendor items are worth buying and infusing up. Kotaku has a nice guide on the top 5

I'll probably be mooching about online tonight from 6ish if anyone wants to do nightfalls and stuff.

What are the options for increasing light at the moment outside of the raid? Is it just faction/vanguard/crucible packages and three of coinds?
 
PVP is your other option. The normal playlists can drop weapons and class items to your level (not sure if capped to 385 though).

Assuming that TX is on we will need the assistance of a Titan to run A NF, Three heroics and general plagueland stuff.

Get up to level and join / organise a raid. I don't think anyone here is too fussed about an experience or sherpa run. Next week with the release of HM I will be focussing on trying that but I want to get my alt titan through a NM raid as I want to get the quest for Outbreak prime as relatively easy way to get a primary up to a high level.
