Reserve - OweO (385+ any class)

Put me down as a reserve as I don't want to take up the spot of someone who is running it for the first time. I will be online so if you need an extra bod (any class) drop me a message :)

Who would be up for a HM run on Wednesday? (I have added a few people who I know wanted to run HM but not 100% sure if the time is ok - names are in italics)

WotM HM - PS4 - 7:30ish UK time

- OweO - 385+ any class (would prefer to run Hunter or WL on my first run)
- JPM (TX) - 385+ WL
- Greboth - 385+ WL
- Redrooster - 385+ Titan

Cheers. Assuming the same premise as before holds true in that when levelling I should only decrypt blues, and hoard my legendaries for when I hit raid level?
 
Once the update goes live tomorrow, yes.

Blues only decode (currently*) up to 340. Once you hit that point the real grind begins. Heroic strikes are the best bet with the occasional legendary decrypt if you are struggling in one or two slots. Jump into Archon's Forge every now and again to get a plethora of drops and infuse materials.

Makes sure to buy a 350 light ghost (75 marks) if you don't have a high-ish light one already.

Hold onto any Skeleton keys for now as the chests they open will drop up to light cap gear (with the + 5 light mechanic in place - if you are 360 light you have the chance to get a drop up to 365 etc).

*I assume this will still be the case once the update drops but won't know until it does.
 
Mind if I promote you OweO, I need the Outbreak Prime quest so need someone that knows it :)

Started the grind for a skeleton key for last step of the Thorn quest...and it dropped first strike! Happy days. Just need to blat that strike out later.

Hoarding legendaries now so I should bump up to 385 fairly quickly after reset tomorrow.

Yeah no problem. Like I said I just didn't want to jump into someone else's spot. Happy to be a pseudo Sherpa so to speak :). As you are on your Titan I will run Hunter (thus leaving my WL for HM). If possible would you be able to help JPM /TX get his outbreak (need a Titan)?

Do you want to jump into the HM on Wed?

Sure happy to help out on quests....I'll need to do it myself once I've got it kicked off in the raid.

Not sure about Wednesday, I'll probably only be 380-ish, winds me up playing underlevelled, might leave HM til next week as I'll definitely be able to get up to 385 with the new drop levels.

If there's a NF and you need a third I wouldn't mind a run on my Warlock.

Experienced. World Record is 20 mins to do the raid so hopefully we can get it done in less than an hour. I have an alt I can run for a second raid at another time.

It's do-able but you'll be quite squishy. If you don't like playing under-levelled then the light levels changes that drop tomorrow will get you up to 385 quite quickly, Archon's Forge, Heroic Strikes and legendary engrams will start giving you 385 light gear.

Managed to drag a lvl 350 to aksis phase 1 yesterday before we ran into issues. However they were a bit of a burden constantly dying, etc. I think the recommended is 380 so you should be fine if you have nightstalker fully unlocked and use your tether, invisible nade and the blink roll whenever your low on health to get you by. Even better if you can run an exotic armour which has a decent perk for keeping you safe, the one with crouching invisibility, etc.
 
Mid 360's is fine for Aksis

I won't lie, you will feel squishy <370 light but you will still be able to dish out decent damage.

Tether + WoL + Viking Funeral = ~ 140k per shot with the cannons.

I'm good for a HM on Wednesday. Currently 384 but will be on tonight trying to creep up to 385 or higher.

I'll be on, probably from about 7ish and have done the quest on both Warlock and Titan so if you need either send me an invite and I can pick it up from Shiro.
 
I did my first run of the raid with my hunter sat night at 365 light level. Majority of the raid was not too bad but aksis part 2 is where I struggled mainly due to the fact I didn't quite understand the mechs of the raid. About 6-7 wipes later we nailed him once I got used to what I needed to do and where I needed to be.

I had a 1k stare at 367 along with my iron gally at 365 but compared to the rest of team I wasn't causing enough damage to aksis but thankfully they kinda carried me through.

So it can be done at 365-ish but u need a really good high light team to carry you through the last part.
