I would think either of the first 2. If you make the front 2 in 5 carries and the back in 1 then that is 16 carries, each person carrying everything once is only 18 so not much extra. Though I can imagine it will get hectic organising who has got what left to carry. It is going to be fun :D

Normally, I go left and raze lighter my captain straight away - then jump mid and use one cannon shot to clear the captain. That way they don't have to stress about it. Alternatively, get a Nightstalker to clear him using a sword and vanish in smoke. 3 Raze Lighters and 3 Dark Drinkers is a good balance for captains and boss damage IMO

Some are saying there won't be a Zamboni challenge, only Aksis, as there is only one emblem left :confused:
 
I noticed mid is hardest to kill the captain at aksis, i resorted to using my super.

Voksis phase 2 I've noticed right is hardest, then mid then left. Enemies all hide a lot better on the right and shoot from cover. In the middle you can be hit from all angles don't have much cover yourself but all the enemies spawn in the same bit so can be supered very easily and since orbs are in the middle you can chain supers for damage phase so you don't need to worry about using your super. On left the enemies all come at you from the same bit, focusing fire on that means they don't get near you. Left is miles easier than the other 2.

And me going to the wrong pillar :D It was my first time being in the middle and I got all confused, that's my excuse and sticking to it :p

Hmm yeah just having someone on left or right cannon the captain would make things a lot easier.

Be disappointing if there's no zamboni challenge, it's the most fun raid fight in Destiny. Plus if there's only Vosik and Aksis it's going to take me aaaaaages to get the ornaments :'(
 
Maybe they're not doing a challenge as the Siege Engine isn't technically classed as a boss fight. Got challenge done last night with an LFG group, no issues activating doors with charges this time so I have no idea what was happening on Tuesday. I'll put it down to Destiny being Destiny. I use Dark Drinker for mid captain and haven't had any issues mainly because Moe puts a smoke bomb on him before hand so it's just a matter of running up and swinging.
 
I had exactly the same problem with the bombs last night.

Nigh on point blank range and the door didn't activate. Done exactly the same thing later and it activated.

Really annoying when you are on the second round of a really good run....

They could split it between phases..

Vosiks Phase 1
Vosiks Phase 2
Aksis Phase 1
Aksis Phase 2

So for example Vosiks Phase 1, perhaps everyone has to energy dump.
Aksis Phase 1, everyone has to throw a bomb

Etc etc.
 
For me it's the damn cannons, I can be bang on and I'll get an explosion behind the servicer, and it's fine. Weird.

Not tonight blueberries but I'll glad run with you Saturday day or anytime Sunday if you want.

Ah, I'm away until Tuesday evening. Nevermind

On a side note, I'm trying to solo CE, and I can't even get past the Stills :(
 
Finally did the new raid last night on normal also unlocking the OP quest. Although to be fair I expected to just be given the op, not have to now do a load of other stuff for it!! Lol! Still, I'm sure it will be worth it.
