Well i was the only new one, but was warlock, We didht have a single titan, as i say it was people i spoke to on Bungie forums, The raid was on normal as i wanted to experience it first i didn't want to take on hard or challenge until id least done it once.

Not having a single Titan would prove problematic for Oryx based on the normal way it is run (Titan popping WoL in middle to assist with Ogres / knights). Certainly not impossible mind if everyone adapts accordingly.

For Oryx you ideally want the following:

- Runner (on any class) who is confident - missing a jump is basically a wipe;
- 3/4* Plate holders who drop their Ogres quickly and consistently (sniper or Sleeper);
- Remaining person (x2 if you only run 3 plate holders) holding middle who understands the spawn order for Ogres and Knights and can assist each plate holder as necessary. A Titan here is ideal as their bubble can protect them from adds and provide the necessary buff to their DPS.

Other than that is just a case of learning the fight and then being consistent.


*From memory you only need 3 plate holders for the Oryx fight. The last plate can be left free. I may however be mixing this up with the Daughters fight.
 
We did have to do something with the platforms on Oryx, Not to same extreme as watchers where 4 of us had to keep them in use whilst one ran for the orb, That was such a pain!
 
I'm looking at doing some Raids but I don't have anyone to party up with, can I tag along with you guys?

To a degree I agree with the above, raids are all about practice and testing yourself.

There is no 100% correct way to complete any encounter, by that I mean the encounter has to be done that exact way.. its about ensuring that responsibilities are explained clearly and the people carrying out their activity are confident in their ability to do it successfully. RNG does play a huge factor tho, the game sometimes ultimately decides upon if you wipe or not.

Oryx platform duty is very similar to Sisters, the main difference is you can choose who will be the runner (I imagine most of your wipes came from the randomness and the reset timing).

I wouldn't mind having a quick run at Crota if you're up to it Owe? See if I can get Lacey on to. She's 388 now, I'll do a couple of heroics with her before hand.

That's if we can get a couple more online.

Owe's Crota kill with his TV off was the clutch of the decade :p

Yeah sounds good.

If Mark is around we could blast through some strikes, get his light level up and then jump into CE / VOG to get those sweet primaries (vastly superior to the **** that drops in KF - a couple of exceptions of course).

Seriously the Anguish that dropped for me the other night is terrible. I already have a legendary smite with Firefly and don't really care for the other two.
 
I had the smite dropped pretty beast gotta be fair, but I keep going back to my Nechrocasm lol

Lacey only gotta do Crota the she'll get it.

What you really mean is I managed the extremely difficult task of moving ten steps forward, popping a shield and then retreating before repeating the task 10+ times..... :p

Meanwhile Mach fell of the map! :D

(seriously though, running the relic between both teleport spots is a much more efficient way of doing the Templar challenge. It is more difficult for the relic runner but also more exciting. Bumper bars are required for Mach though.... :p)

That was funny, Owe: "ready guys?" all said yep, Mach: "Aw just fell off the map". :D
 
Don't forget when I was airborne when the detain bubble appeared! It was some pretty solid play!

I can be about for some VoG and Crota runs. Might not be until tomorrow though.

Most likely was gutted to get so close though and not finish it :(

Oh I have done that before.

Atheon challenge, I fall off the plate as I get detained. I just manage to destroy it before it kills me when a Supplicant decides it wants a cuddle...... *guardian down*.

*le sigh*
