Game is absolutely awesome! Looking forward to getting right in about ti with a headset etc once i have finished my essay on Monday!
 
Well Tesco let me down and my LE copy didn't arrive. Really sucked seeing so many people playing it on my friends list last night. Now the dilemma is I have today off work, do I take it and play something else waiting on the postman (usually comes around 3pm fs) or just go to work?? :( not best pleased!

Have you tried the devils lair mission yet? It's definitely the best/hardest mission I have tried so far and it seems to last forever. You also get some good loot from it.

I never played the beta so its all new to me, I'm really enjoying this game so far.

Go buy it in tesco off the shelf, then send the pre-order back when it turns up...and learn not to pre-order again ;)
 
My LE arrived yesterday, was so looking forward to getting stuck into it last night, only to be struck down with a nasty sickness and diarrhoea bug at about 7pm. Gutted, spent the majority of the night on the throne, not going to work today, but I've no inclination to play........off to bed.

Going to save it for the weekend :(

Nope I haven't what planet is that on? I've done earth and only done first mission on the moon

Partly, although I can see why people get a bit bored with the same map.

Personally though, I'm a numbers guy. All about grinding for that weapon with slightly higher stats :p

A couple of my mates got it once I had already got to level 8, but I just ran through the first few misisons again with them. Got some more XP and loot :)

I've not posted on here for years!

Finding it all a bit uninspiring to be honest. First couple of hours were great but once you get past how great it looks it's all rather ordinary.
 
Loving it here. Playing as Hunter like I did in Beta and it still reminds me of the battle rifle/sniper combo i'd always want in Halo 3. Do enjoy the story, but being Bungie, it will only continue to improve. :cool:
 
Well I am loving it. Got my lock to level 4 but deleted her and started again because I didn't like how she looked. Back up to 4 again and much happier :p

Also choosing hard mode on the missions has made it more fun. I use a pistol mostly when not being rushed. Headshot everything. The gunplay is very nice.

Got to level 4 this morning when I had a quick blast. Playing a hunter and it is pretty good. Although I do prefer sneaking up to enemies and shivving them rather than shooting them which doesn't work so well on the bosses
 
I seem to have sniper rifles that make killing almost anything quite trivial. Some of my other stuff does 50-60 damage per hit but when I snipe at stuff from distance and headshot them it does about 1200 damage. The ogres go down in 3 or so shots and most other things are single shot kills.
