Sniper rifles are a bit overpowered some people complained in other forums. One option is to not use them the other is use them and try to not headshot them :D
 
I got to just short of level 10 last night, did some PvP and out of the 6 matches I haven’t lost one yet lol

Also we did the first level 8 strike, it was hard and took some time but completed it. Got some rather decent stuff. Are the patrols just a rep grind doing the odd missions there? not sure what I need to do on them.

I can't resist! Everything else bar the launchers is pretty underpowered. Its ok for killing the smaller stuff but anything seriously tough is a mission.

I spent about half an hour just running through the tunnels on the moon last night killing stuff which was good fun. Its quite easy to get sidetracked if you let yourself.

Patrol missions give you free reign over the region to do what you like. Go exploring, look for a public event, gather resources, gold chest hunting or grab a mission from a beacon. The choice is yours!
 
The Crucible stuff in this game is terrible. It's so awful that it almost spoils the game for me as I was so excited about it given how good the Halo mutliplayer has always been with their games.

But it just feels like an afterthought and something they threw in at the last minute to pad out the game. The modes and maps are terrible, the flow and pace of it is just stupid. It's a good job the single player is brilliant otherwise it would be getting sold

I like exploring areas that I am not meant to and potshotting enemies with a ?? over their heads (then running away as fast as I can). I don't always go in for the mission sometimes I just like to wander around or sit and take in the view.

Playing a level 8 Titan at the moment, so far enjoying the game. Aiming on joypad isn't as bad as I thought it might be, thanks to aim assist.

Found a few nice items by exploring and going back and doing some of the story segments on hard. Seem to get better upgrades that way.
 
Guys, Engrams.... Does anyone have any tips/info to share?

I saw a post earlier about waiting to decode rare engrams until you hit higher levels? So far the drops for me are much rarer than in the Beta - I only have one green engram at level 6. Trying to play every level on hard. Got 2/3 through Devils Lair last night, but called it after we got wiped as we were just about to destroy the tank.

Have people had more drops in the higher level missions? Is it worth grinding with standard gear up until then?
 
I resisted for a bit on them but eventually gave up and just started decoding them. Honestly I think you will get plenty throughout the game so having a load at lvl20 is just going to mean that you have missed out on them earlier.

I don't know about you but I tend to have about 4-5 guns that I keep because they are good and then I deconstruct the others. Having loads of awesome guns at a higher level won't mean that you use 20 guns instead of a core few in my opinion.
 
Tried to play last night. I obviously didn't reattach my right trigger properly when I modded my controller so I couldn't shoot anything! What a pain. I'll have to fix it tonight and hopefully get a couple of hours in.

How the heck do you do that? Found the Hunter just a bit too weak for my liking even though their super is great for PvP

I actually really like it, art wise and design its very polished. I never played Borderlands so maybe that's why its fresh to me. For £35 I'll get a fair bit out of it.
