*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

I surprised I didn't go for this...but I even found the Beta really rinse repeat, I think this game only worked off the back of Halo and Bungie, but even with the hype I didn't get drawn in..and I usually do.
 
I was all for buying it 8am on day of release (after dropping kids off for school) - but I'd watched some vids the night before and wasn't totally convinced so decided to wait awhile

even less convinced now :( I was really really looking forward to it too - really enjoyed Halo etc
 
Still on fence almost bought it today was in John lewis and they had one last.ill try to hold on unless the next 30 posts all say how amazing the game then tomorrow morning i am jumping on the hype train. I would like a different pvp experience than cod i am fed up with it die instantly respawn repeat

Same I'm on the fence, beta didn't wow me like I hoped, don't wanna buy into the hype like infamous and watch dogs
 
I think it feels very beta.

It's very boring. The whole returning to ship all the time is tedious. Dinklage is terrible. And i wont even start on the announcer in MP
 
I wasn't a big Halo fan, but this is just a poor Halo. I'd much rather play another Halo game. Far too many similarities tbh

this really concerns me. i thought it would be completely the opposite. i'm sure the promo vid said ''go wherever you want'' ''join in battles as you explore''

i've opened a dispute about mine not arriving on time. would my £50 be spent better elsewhere. i don't want this to be taken in the wrong context here but £50 isn't really a big deal but i do have a problem with spending £50 on something that i'll play for less than 48 hours in total and end up be annoyingly bored with it.
 
anyone else having connection issues. i keep getting the chicken and centipede errors , barely been able to make a character.

PS4 version, same issue on wifi or powerline lan, never had an issue in the beta :(

The initial thing that was drawing me to this was how much content it "seemed" to have, and it would be a real free world roaming game, but all i got from the beta was, fly to destination, complete a linier challenge with boss, leave then repeat.
 
Wonder why there is no option to set your self as Public, friends etc before you play a map on Xbox one. On Ps4 you click on your name and it comes up. Its Set to friends only as default.
 
Anyone having issues with the PS4 & Destiny? my drive sounds like its going to take off! its ok in my sons PS4.....just hope my drive isnt on its way.
 
Not got the game yet, but it does make me chuckle on people moaning how repetitive the game is. Cant be that many of you that played phantasy star online then on Dreamcast. I loved that game to bits and played it to death , but it was basically 4 world on endless repeat
