When you hit 18 it unlocks the ability to start getting legendary/exotic gear that gives you a +Light stat. Light starts increasing you over the level cap which is needed for raids and increased level difficulties (which can go as high as 28 as far as I can see). Bound to go higher in the future.
 
Yep! :D Cannot wait, there's no waypoints or anything telling you what to do either, you have to work it all out :)

About as expected so far but I still think it's too early to be reviewing this type of game. You need to spend more time with it getting to max level and playing end game content like the raid etc

guys, whats the the vault for at the tower , is just a place to store stuff?

I cant really see the point of it unless it has got some other benefit?

Anyway I find its good to set roster fireteam to public to make it easier for people to join your fireteam.

Just had a random guy join me for two story missions , was great fun playing with someone else, even though he had a much higher level than me and would have done the story missions I was doing already, there must be an good benefit of replaying missions with others which is good!

Not far in but so far I'm very impressed!:cool:
 
Finally bought the game today......wasnt so expensive, as I got it from Tesco for £40......mainly got it, as my brother got it and we can play together and the reviews seem so mixed, like its marmite......cant remember the last time I played a FPS on console, always been on PC.....im going to suck!
 
I am laughably bad aiming with a pad after years of using a PC for FPS's :D
using X 10 the amount of bullets to kill anything that it should take :p

Someone joined my fireteam last night, I had no clue who they were so removed them. Then realised it was someone on my friends list and couldn't remember for the life of me who they were.... Sorry haha
 
Well, I've agreed to sell my copy to a colleague at work now, 1 day lol.

Not a big fan of FPS on consoles anyway, I've still yet play Fallout 3 and MW3 in the xbox which I still have!

I dont mind who joins mine as long as they follow the mission. Unless of course a friend wants to join me I will remove them.

A random guy joined me earlier and we done 2 story missions together, he was a higher level than me and he really helped me out showing me where all the bonus chests were and that!
 
For anyone who preordred did you get the Vanguard armour?

I ordered from Amazon but cant find any codes unless its something that unlocks in-game at a certain level.

Yeah I only realised that he was there when I left and went back to space, I then started talking to the GF and then after about a minute or so noticed there was a second space ship flying there next to me. No voice comms or anything so didn't know who they were.

I got my vanguard code in my game and the game case states it is the Vanguard edition on the bottom right hand corner of the front of the case. (I ordered from ShopTo though)

Mine was in the game box as a PSN code. You enter that in the store then head to one of the NPCs in the tower to buy the armour. I can't remember the guys name but he is near the person that sells ships :D
