well, thats another 2 purple engrams decoded into scrap. why are they coloured purple when they never decode into purple items?!?

edit: and another. thats 7 now :/

ohh, and a purple package decoded into... yep, 2 blue bits of junk.

According to this purple engrams should grant a purple 1/3 of the time
 
Picked it up last night and so far I'm really enjoying it, the only thing I'm finding slightly annoying is having to go to orbit/select where to go/ select what to do etc.... a bit long winded.
I noticed I have 1/5 chests on earth, are they in complete random location or should you pass them while doing the mission/task??
Level 7 now and seem to just keep getting the same armour pieces, although I do seem to have quite decent weapons now.

The gold chests will be in the same locations each time as you only get them once. The others I think, just spawn in random locations when you enter a new area, I'm not sure though. Patrol mode is good for looking for the gold chests, but sometimes you might need to grab one during a strike or mission as not all areas are open in patrol mode.
 
Just had a game of the weekend crucible mode, what a load of pony.

I thought you'd spawn in a vehicle, if I wanted to play a match of vehicles dominating infantry/cattle slaughter, I would go play BF.

Must admit I don't like PvP here, much prefere pve.

(Probably because I suck )
 
also, the tower loading time is really starting to **** me off now.
i really don't understand the purpose of the tower in the game.
you might as well just have a menu that instantly loads with all the vendor options, because you can't talk to any of the other players running around, so what's the point in having a "social hub"???

Seriously give up on farming engrams. It's not worth it.

The only reliable way to get legendary gear is to grind your vanguard and crucible marks and buy them from the tower vendors

For anyone whos interested, the gunsmith is selling rare fusion rifles for the next hour, so if you need them for the exotic weapon bounty now is a good time.
 
yeah, i have, and i have just got to level 2 and bought my first purple. and right after that, blue engram turned into nice purple shotgun. shame i don't really use shotgun :/
