fack me! thats guna take me ages to get 13.2gb and yes you get 3 codes for the store to download the beta and to redeem your code you go to bungie.net login with psn account and then profile and redeem code, not sure how it works if you pre ordered on the store, but it says we get the codes on the 17th and thats for everyone in europe!

You could just pre order with Amazon and you will get the code straight away. Once it's redeemed just cancel your order. You will not be charged for it.
 
I have a PS4, and I live in Europe. When I go to select my console, I’m being told that codes are not available. What gives?

You get three codes. When your wave for the Beta begins, we’ll be equipping you with a Fireteam. Share those codes with your friends. Approach people on the street, and invite them to become legend. Spend some quality time catching up with your Mom in Old Russia.
 
Have this preordered on PSN, and currently have 'Destiny: Beta (Unavailable)' showing on my DL list. Do i have to wait for a code for Bungie.net or should i be good to go?

Depends on a few things first you need to make sure its an EU account, EU pre-orders take money out on release US accounts when you pre-order.
Also seems you need at least a pound in your account if not it tries to add funds.
 
Slight update on selecting the platform via the Bungie Website. It's just let me select 'PS4 - Europe' from the list, but still has a message below saying 'Come back on the 17th...'.

So you can at least select PS4 - Europe now.

Is there any way of getting beta access without pre-ordering? I'm on Xbox One.

I haven't followed this game at all, but suddenly everyone is talking about it and it's peaked my interest. I'd like to try before I buy though as I'm not sure if it's for me.
 
Just pre order with Amazon mate. They will email you a code stright away, they also don't take payment until they dispatch the order, so plenty of time for you to cancel if you don't like the game.
