I'm pretty sure those are the only 2 armour pieces you can get. Legendary weapons can also be found but they are rare
 
Not sure what's going on but have been doing some patrols on Venus and have been given 4 legendary and 3 blue engrams in the past hour - I don't want to leave the area! (yes I know they'll turn green!) :D
 
Hmm I suddenly just lost motivation to do the Queens missions. The shards were the only good thing about them.

Not to mention Bungie keep handing out impossible bounties for them.

Patched most of the engram farming places and made the queens event pointless. Interesting patch...

Cheers for the research on the weapons. With how rare the materials for upgrading them are, I'll wait for a primary which I really like. Currently looking at the auto rifle from the new monarchy faction, vanquisher i think it was called. Pity it wasn't sold from the fwc since new monarchy armour has crap stats.

edit: Actually, it sounds like they are planning on nerfing auto rifles so I better wait and see :P

yeah, seems to be no point in queen stuff now. It looks like it may take a while to upgrade my legendary now.
Random question, but does it matter if none of the legendary armour matches? there's no bonus for a full set of a certain type is their?
Just thinking I've got 2 queen pieces and will probably just buy the others from the tower.

Reducing range and damage on auto rifles. Increasing damage on scouts and severely nuking the range on shotguns. Exotics are to be made more powerful across the board from the sounds of it.

They also look to be adding in game chat to online pvp matches that you have to 'opt in' for. The voice chat is the thing that seriously annoyed me about this game. I made friends chatting online in halo matches and this just feels like there's a bunch of gamertags running round on the screen doing nothing.

It'd be great to hear people within 15m or so, so that when you're running round doing something you can run over and talk to someone. It just feels so isolated at the minute, which adds to the demoralization that this is largely just a grindfest with little to no gain. Things that seem worth the time (the queens wrath shards) are getting nuked just days after being released. It's crazy. Theres no way it's fun to run around the same level trying to find, quite literally, hundreds of sodding helium cells or glowing plants just to upgrade a piece of armour by a tiny percentage.
 
The latest ptach has kinda put me off Destiny for the next few days - if Bungie wanted to slow down progress then they really shouldnt have put in a level 26 raid so close to release - what else would you expect people to do but not rush to get near that?

Its obvious within minutes how useful the Queens bounties were for people after ascendant material, so couldnt they in foresight made the way we did the missions harder to achievelegendaries (as in multiple missions = a legendary piece; say running through each variant once or something). Hell its not even useful for getting a complete set because all there seems to be is helmets and chest pieces :confused:

Dont mind the other buffs/nerfs but FFS no changes to stuff like Bladedancer or the Juggernaut?!?

I understand why they've patched all the farming stuff but why "fix" the queens bounties? All they've done is make them pointless beyond the first couple. Honestly when you need 72 shards minimum to upgrade your 4 pieces of legendary gear and the max that you are guaranteed are something like 3-4 a day (they could even turn out to be ascendant energies instead leaving you with 0) it kind of take the **** a little bit.

you were never supposed to be able to obtain and fully upgrade legendary gear in 1 day..
