Is gearing up via PvP the slowest way to go about it?

pretty much yea.
you only get blues from rewards, which aren't even guaranteed to be lvl 20, and it will take you 3-4 weeks of saving crucible marks to buy 4/4 pieces of legendary quality armor.

max out your vanguard marks as well each week for much faster gearing up, if you have the time.

queen missions also give a few pieces of legendary armor, including a helmet which would usually cost you 120 marks, so defo worth doing those instead of grinding marks for those armor pieces.

after the next patch, they will start giving out legendary engrams from PvP rewards, which will speed up he gearing up process, but then you have to rely on RNG to get the armor skills you want, which is not ideal. if you buy gear with marks, you get to pick which armor skills you want from the selection available from the PvP tower vendors.

What level are you and how come people are getting weapon bounties and ot me?

:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Handed 5 bounties twice in a row and nothing happened either. Must be RNG again!

Very much so. I'm on to my 3rd Exotic Weapon Bounty now. Thorn from the first one (now fully upgraded), Pocket Infinity and working on Bad Juju.

I got a nice one for my 200 kills in Nightfall. Nexus last week, loads of trash mobs to kill in the first area with my awesome blue lvl16 solar fusion rifle ><

Cool, thanks mate.

I'm convinced Crucible is just broken. I've very slowly battled my way up to 330/500 for Thorn on the PVP part and today I haven't been able to add a single point all morning. Shotgun blasts from point blank to the head have no effect on people. Heavy machine guns take 3/4 of a clip to kill anyone. Yet stupid melee attacks from miles away take me out in one shot and mine are like licks from a kitten. As for the idiot who thought it was a good idea to put vehicles in control... GAH!

How good is Pocket Infinity compared to the legendary fusion rifles? Any recommendations as I need to buy one anyway...

Activision promised them huge bonuses and royalty percentages if the game was released on time and even more if it made profit etc after a certain time (this was in the millions and millions of dollars).

Can't help but think if activision hadn't put these stupid clauses in the contract the game would have been really different.

Bungie aren't gonna miss out on 10's of millions $ extra, who in their right mind would.

I posted the contract link a few pages back.

Don't believe that either.

By all accounts the deadline for Destiny had passed many times. It was massively behind and was in development for at least 5 years.

Painting this as a game "rushed" due to unrealistic deadlines from activision don't fly for a game in development for 5 years.

This sounds to me much more like a game that where the devs were given free reign due to their reputation from Halo, who took too long and tried to create the perfect game, and in the process had lots of work, but no actual game to show for it. Content had been cut, re-done serveral times and somebody somewhere said enough and drew a line in the sand and told people to get it done so they could release something and not end up being another Duke Nukem forever.

Not finished its unique upgrades yet. As far as damage goes it'll be no different to a Legendary. Not overly convinced by 'Find more ammo' on any weapon type at the moment, and I can't say the returning missed shots is going to make a difference cos they aren't exactly hard to land, its just whether all shots hit.

Tbh I'd rather use Thorn. I love going around 1 shotting Fallen/Hive/Vex.

I've got a rocket launcher with that perk and you definitely find more of it

On a strike I find enough rockets to use during the mid points of the strike and still have full ammo left for the end boss.

And this is with my Armortorium chest that allows me to carry 7 of them.

I think it's good mainly due to the fact it can fire full auto, with the increased mag upgrade you can charge the weapon up once and fire 8 continuous bursts. It also makes it very easy to use in the crucible as if you mess up the first burst you can follow through again. The recoil is high(if you don't spec for it) but that doesn't stop it melting peoples faces left right and centre :p

I've never bothered to use it myself in PvP but I has been used against me on more than one occasion and it was very effective.

don't know what's going on these last two day, but I'm really starting to rack up motes of light and strange coins. it seems Everytime I return to the tower I get at least one of either, if not both. Just wish you could buy/trade shards now.

Anyone want to team up?
Level 25 almost 26 here

Gamertag is Conscept

:) Was just trying the 22 level weekly strike got to the end tank thing but ran out of ammo and its frustrating doing it solo! :)

I'll be on later, lvl 25 Warlock.

In fact everyone feel welcome to add me on PS4 - McGrayUK

Will be pushing for VOG soonish.

Havent got it full auto yet, but so far it seems to be just the same as any other one. Bad points are the charge time and and a bit more recoil, good points are the damage and its ability to hold more bullets than any other one ive used (24).

The find more ammo upgrade is useful though, it makes every special ammo you pick up have 12 bullets so the likelihood of you running out of special ammo are a lot less, letting you use your gun more often.
