With it being XUr day today, I've got to get those 9 coins for some exotic goodness, still have managed to get a group together to do it, having no match match making is really getting on my **** now.
 
Tried the Nightfall solo last night, frustrating! Had to give up after too many attempts.

Going away this weekend so won't be playing till Monday (got a day off!), maybe a weekend away will clear my mind.

Thanks, I'll do a screen grab later of the bits in question (It'll give me a chance to try out the "share" button).

There looks to be no option other than "Discard" them in the inventory,Am I the only person that finds this game to be lacking in any instruction or guidance. :(

You don't 'use' it.

It gets consumed when you click on your upgrades (when it levels up).

You have plenty of slots, don't ever discard materials, just plop it in the "ATM" if you are really OCD about it.
 
So close to solo Nightfall on last bit of boss with no ammo he was so low on health I got cocky and tried to finish him off with bladedancer special and I got slapped was so gutted :)
 
I seem to have got to level 22 and then got completely bored of the game! Mainly because I usually play the game in very short bursts due to not having much time in the week, and really for me even a strike is too long. I'll try to do some on the weekend but I can't see myself progressing further at any real pace.

I had this problem with WoW as well, just don't have the time for end game stuff!

On that note the engram changes are very much appreciated but they need to look at Crucible rewards at the end of the match. All everyone ever seems to get is either nothing or a random rare item which is a downgrade to most people's armour/weapons.
Fair enough the rewards are good for anyone under level 20 but for anyone over, they seem pointless.

Iron Banner will have much better rewards.
Gear doesn't matter in the crucible anyway, especially armor. Just get something with faster melee attack and you're good to go.

I've stopped using the insta res upgrade on the sunsinger as pretty much everyone expects it now and I always get disoriented for the first few seconds after i res.

People don't even need to be grouped up for a BladeDancer to pick up a quadrakill.

I generally only see them kill one enemy with it, but there are the odd occasions they get 2 or 3. Even when they only kill one, they have still managed to turn around a losing encounter or shut down another player before they got to use their duration ulti(wasting their ulti in the process).

I don't think I have ever managed to jump out of range of a titan ulti, of course a lot of the time they use it, its point blank range or im in the radiance animation so I was dead anyway.
 
Wasn't in last weekend so I missed Xûr. Hopefully he has some nice exotics going today, although I won't know until tonight.

Anyone mind checking after 10am? :D

As Mr Jones says you don’t ‘use’ it from your inventory. Press ‘option’ and hover the cursor over armour or a gun and press triangle, move the cursor on to an upgrade you haven’t done (the green ones are ones you have done) and it will tell you what parts are needed for the upgrade. Some upgrades just cost you glimmer, others cost more like some legendary armour I have requires (I think) 200 glimmer, 8 ascendant shards and 16 helium filaments. Once you get to really upgrading you will need a lot of the inventory, I have been playing a lot so have unlocked a lot of gun and armour upgrades but need around 150 helium filaments to upgrade it.

I'm kinda wishing I'd picked up SUROS Regime last week. I have a rare weapon with that focus fire modifier and its absolutely awesome.

They do but Earth is the only one with a decent schedule.
