Looks like bungie may be implementing match making for the raids soon, a quick google for bungie says they're discussing adding it.
currently got a 28 titan and 26 warlock but it's taking so long to get shards, I'm just trying to max vanguard marks to buy legendary to break for shards now. Aswell as doing the daily events.
I don't see how adding match making in is really going to effect anyone, you still have the choice of forming your own premade team so I don't see how an extra choice is really going to hurt.
Because honestly there is little to no difference of adding random strangers from an internet forum to being matched up with randoms through the game, I'd much rather have the choice of match making when ever I want to play rather then have to wait a week for people schedules to line up with no guarantee of them actually being able to complete the raid.
Lol nails everything that is wrong with the game. Yet I still love it? I've put 83 hours into it and still going.

Yes but this is meant to be accessible to all, like cod or halo not an empire of the exclusive elitists like world of warcraft.
They need to cater for the masses or this will die in a few months.
Anyone able recommend a mic for Destiny? I only have the in-ear job that comes with the PS4. Or is that good enough for communicating in game, not had the chance to try it?

WoW is the most casual MMO on the market, ever since Wrath of the Lich King everything became a skill-less AoE-fest.
Going casual "killed" WoW for many players (myself included).
I'm glad that the raid in Destiny is strategically difficult and requires teamwork and communication to complete. I hope it stays that way and they don't add a Raid Finder tool because that would mean they would have to lower the difficulty of the raid.
Bungie stated many times during pre-release that they were not expecting everyone to be able to clear the raid in Destiny, and that they were ok with that.

All because some people are just too socially awkward/lazy to organise themselves beforehand

Because you'll drop in with randoms who if they decide to leave because of some impass or something (guaranteed to happen in the VoG) you'll have to quit out and rematch make and guess what a new set of randoms to deal with...and repeat...
Have they done it before?
Have they got a mic?
Do they speak English?
Yes matchmaking something like the raid is going to lead to reduced difficultly as otherwise you'll likely never get it done with a randomly assigned team as failure is one persons disconnection away...

Am I right in thinking that the only way to level up to the latter 20s is to upgrade your purple gear? So far I've enjoyed Destiny a great deal - mid 20s at the mo - but it now seems I need to grind materials to progress. When it comes to video games I draw the line at grinding - especially as I need over 120 iron for head and chest piece alone and so far have 9! This might be the end of the road until the dlc if true.
Well I guess I hit a nerve - must have been correct then****off
Hope they ruin it for you tbh.![]()
. Still can't fathom how people can't realise if they can't be arsed to organise themselves then only their fault they are missing out...
.I'm confused isn't the topic for debate raid matchmaking or getting your character ready for raiding? Because I'm talking about the first which doesn't need much more than a bit of effort trying to get 6 people together once a week. I'm sure that wouldn't stop anyone career advancement to dedicateIf the developers have already stated they don't expect people to complete it I don't see the problem. Just makes it harder for those less organised.
I don't think it makes these people socially awkward just means that they have more important things in their life but still like to have fun with the games.
I myself have had a bit of a break from gaming to concentrate on work so I'm not able to commit to 4 hours of gaming a night, in which time ive been promoted twice. If its the difference between the rewards of promotion with career advancement and being categorised as socially awkward or regularly collecting 20 shards(or whatever they are) repeating the same content over and over with the same four guys, then socially awkward I am
Don't get me wrong I've done the career mmo with ten years of wow and three with dcuo. It can be a great laugh but these had the option of randoms. It even made it more fun on some occasions as it was harder with noobs.
I do aggree they should not decrease the difficulty as it devalues the achievement people invest.
Another thing that kills mmo's is adding the ability to buy your way up the ladder. But at the end of the day limiting the end content to just those people that have four other mates who all play at the exact same time week in week out limits their audience.
