Sweet RNGesus, I just went on the Bungie Forum for Destiny. My first and probably last ever visit. The moans and groans. Oh... what poor souls.

You have to remember that you can 'easily' hit level 29 with legendary and exotic armour - raid gear isn't at all needed so its debatable how necessary the VoG for future raids.

Ita probably more useful for experience and trying to get a raid team together for future content.

I originally thought the same, but once light levels were worked out the bump from non-raid to raid is only +9 light IIRC

Am I the only one that thinks Iron Banner is a complete waste of time and effort? - Theres one weapon (a crap one at that too) and one cloak for the hunter! - rest of it is like shaders and poo.

what are bungie doing?!? - I hope this isn't a sign of things to come!

btw - looks like maintenance started at 4PM - servers all went down, not sure if back yet as the kids are home and already busting minecraft lol.

destinys problem is that it has attracted the MMO crowd, who think this game is far too easy and think its ridiculous how people are max rank already.

It also attracts the FPS crowd who can't understand why they aren't getting all the best gear in the crucible when they come first and can't understand it being random. Rewards in FPS games arent' random.

MMO gamers however, expect rewards to be random, and expect to have to grind for months just to get a sniff of having an exotic, let alone having some bloke turn up every weekend and sell you a piece of exotic armor for 13 coins when 9 of those can be obtained from doing the weekly nightfall on hard.

And both crowds meet on the bungie forums, and have a shouting match.

I did wonder that, looks about as useful as the queens quests.

Wish I could claim skill but that weapon was tearing through the enemy. The non-upgraded Aetheon was hitting for about the same as my fully upgraded Suros, but firing about 3 times faster. Axis Minotaurs with their Void shield were down in seconds.

any elemental primary can do it, it's not just a problem with Aetheon's Rifle.

if anything, they need to stop letting strikes scale to the number of players, and just have them tuned for 3 people regardless of how many are playing.

Also the fact that iron banner is pvp only so us pve guys get screwed over.
 
Any chance I could get any advice from anyone?

Heres my situation:
Im level 26 and a bit (82 light)

Iv got Rare Gauntlets but the rest of my armour is Legendary
All weapons are only rares

13 Strange coins
Vanguard Rep Rank only 2
Crucible Rep Rank 0

I either want to spend my strange coins on Exotic Gauntlets whenever Xur has them (for titan)
and il grind my vanguard rank and marks until I can buy a Legendary primary weapon.

Or I can buy Legendary Gauntlets now, and save my Strange Coins until I can afford an Exotic Primary (2 weeks if I do the lvl26 weekly strikes)

Basically, which do you think is more beneficial, Exotic Armour or Weapon??

I don’t get to play as much as id like and don’t want to waste my precious strange coins :-)

as soon as you have hit lvl 26, getting a 300 atk primary weapon is your #1 priority.
your armor sounds like it is way ahead of your weapons.
still, you could probably get away with buying the exotic gauntlets and then buying a vanguard weapon with rank 3 + 150 marks. that way you get more choice over what type of weapon you get.
there's no guarantee Xur is going to have a good primary weapon for sale any time soon.

I don't really see how you are getting "screwed over" by being PvE only.
You can earn 300 atk legendary / exotic weapons from vanguard vendor / raid drops, and earn lvl 30 with raid armor.

If you don't play PvP, don't QQ because you don't have access to PvP rewards lol.
 
thing is, the queens event was for PVE primarily.

Do the bounty, then get a mission token for a PVE mission and complete it to get a purple item. If you don't like PVE you never got anything other than XP from the queen event.

Iron banner is for the PVP people - so its relatively fair IMO.
