*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

i cant believe people still play this i had it for a grand total of 2 days and sold it right away.It has got to be the most boring game of all time included into that the longest load screen as well when you choose a mission to go on..which appears to be the same planet AGAIN !!! YAWN

This is so true. I expect everyone is actually just lying about playing it!:confused::confused::confused::confused:

I got my first exotic bounty just before we raided on Monday night. Decided to get the one for the Pocket Infinity.

Now where did I put those fusion rifles..

Just lots of stabilty and performance fixes and things like that I think.

If you read the text carefully, a lot of it was to improve their investigation into the problems, rather than fixing them.

http://www.bungie.net/7_Hot-Fix---10072014/en/News/News?aid=12255

  • Added more data logging for matchmaking systems
  • Improved logging of player disconnections
  • Internal tools fixes to speed up our release process
  • Fixes to the roster system to allow us to tune the frequency of roster updates on Xbox One
  • Better logging to help diagnose connectivity problems
  • Improved connectivity failure handling to reduce beaver (Kick To Orbit events) KTOs

none of those really fix the issue of disconnections, just help them detect and investigate them. These were the only ones that might actually fix things, but were a pretty narrow margin. Notice the last one is fixed connectivity failure handling, not connectivity failures themselves.

  • Server performance improvements
  • Fixes to reduce the frequency of some KTOs
  • Fixes to some Centipede errors that were exclusive to specific player characters

So that's a fix to "some" KTOs and a fixes to "some" centipede errors that were exclusive to some characters.

Got booted from the Nightfall 3 times last night so it seems to be working...

that's because there were no actual fixes in that release ;)

So, I hadnt played for about 2 weeks, logged on for a bit of the Iron Banner PVP and I seem to be getting absolutely trounced in PVP now, everyone is obviously higher level and seems to be doing so much more damage than me. Couple weeks ago I was topping leaderboards, now its quite the opposite.

Well Iron Banner doesn't normalise armour/weapon damage like normal PVP, so that's probably why :)

Can't say I agree with that statement. It removes benefits from level differences in regular PvP. It sure as hell doesn't balance gear. Having an exotic or the right mod on a gun is gamebreaking in standard PvP.

Two words. Suros Regime. That gun has single-handedly ruined PvP, everyone and their dog has it (except for me ofc) and that silly clicky clacky gun will put you down in seconds. I swear its a primary heavy machine gun.

I get the feeling that part of the point of Iron Banner is to tell people "Well this is what PvP would be like if we didn't try and balance it so stop moaning" :D

I tried a few games in the iron banner and the ramdoms you get put with are a joke. We lost both games yet I finished top both times with a score of +3000 over second place.

I've come to the conclusion that most people (me included) just aren't very good at PvP. It took me a very very long time to get to grips with it yet now I feel I can hold my own. I attempted some control with my level 2 warlock this morning and ended up coming second in both games, yet every other player was 20+. There was some very strange behavior, like they were expecting me to just stand there and die.

I also found that the level 1/2 grey auto rifle and shotgun I was using had remarkably good stats for PvP, high rate of fire, high impact.

The worst for this is skirmish when its 3v3 with revives

all it takes is one random to constantly charge at them and die, and they all start charging their supers faster from the revives and easy kills.

If they do this, then get map control and get the heavy ammo you may as well just quit.

Me & martin had a game where some guy went 3-14 or something stupid and just ran straight at 3 of them to his death every time and just ruined the game. No point playing when you have somebody doing that on your team.

Suros regime was designed as PVE gun. Its not about the damage it does, because its not a very high impact weapon. It has better impact than the max ROF auto guns, but its main key strength is the lack of recoil and its slow rate of fire. This means its very easy to consistently put down constitutive headshots that don't miss.

This is where the damage normalisation doesn't work. as rate of fire and accuracy are universal - but no other gun other than the suros has that behaviour.

So annoyed that I missed that one, but it does seem to be the one that everyone has in PvP now days.

Did the weekly heroic solo last night, longest part was the boss, tried the location in the video a few pages back, but he seems to go on up on the platform above and stay there so you cannot see or hit him, so not sure if I was doing something wrong on that.

He does wander about.

You just need to start shooting the people outside and he'll come down and try and get in a position to shoot you.

Will try that then, not looking forward to the nightfall run, as those shanks are going to pack one hell of a punch with the damage modifiers on, and they could still get you underneath the platform, heroic wasn’t to bad as it was only void damage increased.
